What's your problem, man? They game is confirmed to be coming next spring and they are showing trailers. How is this different than any other upcoming game? GOW3 is coming around the same time, yet we have seen even less from that game.

But whatever, the game looks breathtaking and I can't wait to play it.

I certainly agree that Production values have been raised for a MS exclusive for sure, but graphical bars were already raised a long time ago by other titles. The game doesn't look better than uncharted 2, nor does it look necessarily better than even FarCry 2 and that had an open environment as well.

Plus, from what I'm seeing, that game looks fantastic. I honestly think your lying to your self if you think this game looks anything below that.

My friend I dont know about Uncharted 2, but ALAN WAKE look miles ahead of FarCry 2 and I still done know about open world but ALAN WAKE does have really huge levels and with that level of detail, its really looks great.

to be honest i don't have a 360 so i might be a bit biased but some of the things MS showed yesterday are making me consider getting a 360 including natal splinter cell and alan wake.

Well if you watch the microsoft press conference you will see that they showed quite a bit of gameplay there.

I said it might end up being a string of trailers. Yes, I saw the E3 demo. I also saw a year old demo on the PC running quad core. The point of my comment was that although I am really anticipating this game I am afraid it might end up like Duke Nukem Forever. If you don't know what I mean then go search the DNF montage on youtube and you will see years and years of DNF gameplay videos and the game never came into fruition.

I'm glad that the rest of you are optimistic but that doesn't mean that I have to be, at least not for this game.

and it's still got almost a full year before it ships. I think Alan Wake is going to speak for itself when it comes time for reviews, and a die-hard PS3 supporter is the last place I would go for a honest opinion about Alan Wake.

This game has raised the graphical bar. I own MGS4, Uncharted, and Killzone 2(check my PSN account if you don't believe me) and none of those games look as good as what we have seen from Alan Wake.

It is absolute OPINION whether you believe Alan Wake, Forza, Gran Turismo, Uncharted, Killzone, Splinter Cell.... looks best. Period.

They all are so close its just your interpretation of what looks better and whats more important to look better.

And in my opinion Alan Wake is looking AWESOME. Couldn't even tell a difference from what I have seen on PC. Look at it, look at the huge massive environment's and amazing lighting/effects in the gameplay.

And besides graphics, gameplay/storytelling looks so good.

In fact, both feature large open environments so my guess is that Remedy is probably working around the same constraints as the CryEngine Makers.

So no, I don't think SaberEdge, that this game is pushing the graphical envelope or bar. If it were linear perhaps, but its not.

Alan Wake looks amazing. I am a big fan of psychological games. Alan Wake reminds me of the movie, "Memento". It kinda has the same plot because in Alan Wake, your finding your wife, and in Memento, your trying to find out who killed your wife.

I am sure that this game will have a lot of plot twists and will deliver very dark themes. I hope Remedy takes their time with this game although they have for almost 4 years.. Remedy has never let me down! Can't Wait!!!!! :D

Don't worry about the disagrees. I agree with you. Microsoft had a very impressive showing. Alan Wake really impressed. The game looked amazing, the animations were fluid, the story and premise is solid and the atmosphere kept you on the edge of your seat. I'm impressed. Look forward to seeing more as we get closer to a release.

I was nervous this was going to be one of those games that was going to fall way below expectations. After seeing it in action and the type of game it is, I am on the edge of my seat waiting for more information and gameplay videos.

This is the kind of new IP I have been hoping for on the 360.

This game has it all. Graphics, sound, gameplay and riveting story. A few have already mentioned Stephen King. I think that nails the description. Without question "now" my most anticipated 360 title.

For me this was the best MS announcement today.

That has to be a record for me personally. 1 of the biggest reasons I am usually a lurker than a contributor. What did I say that was disagreeable? It's just my opinion and no mention of any other console or game. I'm not complaining but just trying to understand the mentality of some of the members on this site. Tensions are running high with E3 under way I guess.

Alan Wake seems like one of those games were you throw on the headphones turnoff all the lights at night and game away. The environment seems like it will really draw you in. Who knows you might end up surprised.

Love the real time story telling. I love how the supernatural enenmy design some how throws a sense of motality at you, gamers can feel a real connection with.

Alan Wake is actually a game, and it has great graphics. Its characters looks humanlike, and his movements looked crisp.

But there is no way this compares to the quick-time event masterpiece that is heavy rain. Heck if zBungie made the entire halo 3 game with cutscenes and qte's than it would look better than Heavy Rain.

I dont own a360 but stop coming in here to downplay the game. I watched the trailer and it looked Great in my opinion.

Also to the 360 guys, stop with the "bar has been raised" stuff, you know its not true, Maybe on the 360, but not overall, at all. Again, in my opinion, the best looking game on the 360 is going to be the new MGS, and you know it. so enjoy a great game, but dont go making wild claims in the graphics department. Remedy is doing a great job with Alan Wake, but from this trailer, you can clearly tell when you're looking at gameplay and when its CGI, something you can't do in MGS4, Uncharted.

PS3 guys, let them enjoy a good game, when you guys come here to downplay their games, it reeks of jaleousy, and we, (Ps3 supporters)dont want to convey that feeling, because its not true, I dont think there's a single game, that we want to play on the 360. It has always been the other way around. DMC4, GTA4, MGS4, Tekken 6, FFXIII, and many others, SO ps3 Guys, please, dont come in here looking all soar and lose face.

Not a definite buy but ill get it eventually .... this game looked good like 5 years ago when they announced it and the games by the name of gears and uncharted were fresh but the graphical bar has been raised. Not to say it doesn't look good but crysis 2 will own all these and killzone 2 even a year before alan wake's release will look better. BTW ME2 looks ridiculous crazy and thats about the only day one release i'm gonna get

It looks good but not mindblowing. The scenery certainly looks good but I'm disappointed by the character models and the animation. Water looks great but we've seen great looking water before on current-gen games. It may shine on gameplay.

You guys are trying to downplay THOSE graphics?! Wow you're all a bunch of haters. I think you guys forget, that Alan Wake looks that good, in an open world game, not closed corridor.
