The REAL Alan Wake trailer E3 2009

Here is a new whole new trailer for Alan Wake. This trailer wasn't shown at Microsoft Press Confrence.

Check out the new environments and new motion-capture animations!

kaveti66165593d ago

Yup, it's true. I want to see this game. I want to include it as a game that I will buy on 360, but they're not showing me anything.

Harri44445593d ago

no it well be a lot like MGS4 i imagine about 50%movie and 50% gameplay, i doubt they well be able to top it in quality however.

SaberEdge5593d ago

What's your problem, man? They game is confirmed to be coming next spring and they are showing trailers. How is this different than any other upcoming game? GOW3 is coming around the same time, yet we have seen even less from that game.

But whatever, the game looks breathtaking and I can't wait to play it.

The graphical bar has been raised, btw.

Did you not watch the MS demo on this? They showed it at E3

really duh5593d ago

Yeah I was really mad when Mcdonalds had a press conference this morning and not MS oO

SnuggleBandit5593d ago

@saber

i'm just as excited for alan wake as you but i'm sorry Uncharted 2 looks better...

thewhoopimen5593d ago

I certainly agree that Production values have been raised for a MS exclusive for sure, but graphical bars were already raised a long time ago by other titles. The game doesn't look better than uncharted 2, nor does it look necessarily better than even FarCry 2 and that had an open environment as well.

RememberThe3575593d ago (Edited 5593d ago )

You can argue about which game looks better the the other all you want. But at the end of the day, as long as the game is fun, I'll play it.

Plus, from what I'm seeing, that game looks fantastic. I honestly think your lying to your self if you think this game looks anything below that.

kozsg5593d ago

Stop trolling and take a look at the gameplay video of E3

Richdad5592d ago

My friend I dont know about Uncharted 2, but ALAN WAKE look miles ahead of FarCry 2 and I still done know about open world but ALAN WAKE does have really huge levels and with that level of detail, its really looks great.

SnuggleBandit5592d ago

to be honest i don't have a 360 so i might be a bit biased but some of the things MS showed yesterday are making me consider getting a 360 including natal splinter cell and alan wake.

I was just pointing out a relatively fanboyish comment when he said "teh graphical bar has been raised"

@remember the 357....totally agree

This game will be amazing, Remedy is a great developer.

Elven65593d ago

If Stephen King wanted to take his mind and all the great ideas associated with it, turn it into a video game it would be called Alan Wake! In a good way of course because both Stephen King and Remedy have great track records! :P

biomajor095593d ago (Edited 5593d ago )

Well if you watch the microsoft press conference you will see that they showed quite a bit of gameplay there.

kaveti66165591d ago

I said it might end up being a string of trailers. Yes, I saw the E3 demo. I also saw a year old demo on the PC running quad core. The point of my comment was that although I am really anticipating this game I am afraid it might end up like Duke Nukem Forever. If you don't know what I mean then go search the DNF montage on youtube and you will see years and years of DNF gameplay videos and the game never came into fruition.

I'm glad that the rest of you are optimistic but that doesn't mean that I have to be, at least not for this game.

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

Tacoboto159d ago

I just bought two of the MonsterVerse Godzilla movies on 4K - both had digital copies expiring in 2023. Both were actually expired.

I'd be surprised but it's WB, of course they'd actually expire them

Knightofelemia160d ago

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Rynxie160d ago

Most likely she wanted to resell a few or most of them. However, it was a too good to be true situation.

Profchaos160d ago

So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.

I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.

Rynxie160d ago

No, most likely to resell. However, she ended up getting screwed.

Asplundh160d ago

This is Alan Wake 1, it had physical copies.

A thermos is upending the Alan Wake community

Remedy has Alan Wake merch on sale, including a pretty blue thermos. Unfortunately, things haven’t gone according to plan, and many players who want a thermos find themselves without one, though it does appear that Remedy is attempting to fix things. Nevertheless, it has resulted in a lot of upset, illustrating just how much the thermos means to Alan Wake fans.
