Eric Nofsinger is aware his studio's first-person shooter for the Nintendo Wii, The Conduit, may not compete graphically with the likes of Call of Duty or Killzone 2. However, he thinks the game can dominate in other areas.
"We wanted to beat the other consoles on control," said Nofsinger, calling the motion controls for the game "more intuitive" than the dual thumbsticks used on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Based on a brief playthrough of The Conduit, published by Sega, it seems developer High Voltage Studios has created precise shooting controls, but what's most impressive is the level of customization players have to adjust to their style.
There’s a consensus about Splatoon 1 that cannot be disputed: motion controls are the way to play. The Wii U Gamepad had its many problems on the system as a whole, but along with the way in which the touch screen was implemented in the first game like I mentioned in my last piece, using the Gamepad’s gyroscope was deemed a superior way to play compared to traditional joystick control.
Rustyshell.com: The Conduit strived to be the quality FPS experience Wii owners were missing out on, with quality graphics and a robust online multiplayer component.
Hardcore Gamer: The Conduit was an interesting first-person shooter that sneaked its way onto the Wii amid a deluge of shovelware and "family" games.
im really curious as to how well this game will sell once it's released
