Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time E3 2009 Trailer

The E3 2009 trailer features some new gameplay not previously shown as well as a developer interview with Brian Allgeier, the creative director at Insomniac Games.

This is one of my all time favorite platform series and TOD was my favorite platform title this generation. I played it all the way through 4 times.

For most games like Mass Effect2, Halo ODST, Alan Wake, Uncharted 2, God Of War 3, Gran Turismo 5, Heavy Rain, Modern Warfare 2, etc... are the games that get most of the attention and hype from the media and fans but R&C: A Crack in Time is one of my most anticipated titles this year.

Insomniac is a gem of a developer. They never cease to amaze me.

This new trailer does show more once again.More depth and detail.

One of my most anticipated games...I really wish their were more of these,I cannot get enough of quirky caricature/toon style games,done with a massive attention to all details,from gameplay,innovation and eye candy.......

One thing I would want to see is that when Ratchet finds Clank,we find that Clank has new powers,adding more to the character (Clank) and game itself.

More at E3 will be shown,and I cannot wait to see it,I can never get enough....

@above: That was my point exactly. In fact I've written several posts about how Gamespot scored the PS3 R&C games unfairly. The first game they said was too diverse and gave it a 7.5. Quest for Booty they said was too close to the core of R&C and gave it a 7.5.

I've said before many times on here that R&C: Tools of Destruction is my favorite PS3 game. I bought it when I bought my system and I've played it through 4 times. The reason I come to R&C news is because I love R&C. I own five R&C games between PS2 and PS3.

Sony has by far the most games to display during their conference. Even considering how Microsoft spends the majority of their show on multi-platform titles, as opposed to Sony who focus on 1st party titles, Sony is still going to be crunched for time fitting in all their up-coming games.

Just because something is released before the conference doesn't make it "leaked". Sony simply has way too much to show, and can't fit it all in.

Besides, what is the big deal if something is released during E3, before, or after it? It's still the same announcement wherever it is made. The only people watching E3 are gamers, the same crowd who will watch these trailers online before and after the show. Casual gamers aren't lining up for E3.

Ive never played a r&c game but might pick this one up. I didnt have a PS2, I chose a Gamecube and Xbox instead, so i never became intrigued with the series. Havent picked up a PS3 yet, hoping for the price drop at E3. But if not Ill pick one up any way.

Yes, it was. Why not take a minute and look for yourself Unbaised? It's not this particular interview, but the gameplay footage from this part was first shown at the GT Pre-E3 event.

This interview may be shown at Sony's conference as Goonlinegames claim, but it's also likely they will demo this area and reveal co-op. The other Lombax is obviously controlled by a player in the footage.

I think it was a clever move by insomniac to give us a break from playin with clank attatched to ratchet. Should give the gameplay a slightly new approach a make it feel slightly fresher. . . hope they bring back the sheepinator!!!

The game looks good, but what I find funny is why nobody is (ps3 fanboy) saying anything about them milking this franchise. You hypocites call out other games, but fail to see how there making a Ratchet every year like madden almost. @ lowcrab, this new R&C game is coming out 2 years after R&C:Future and plus Insomnic can make a quality game within a year where as developers such as infintyward make sh1ty games that have bad campaign modes and only good online.

the developer said that they would have lots of "variety" in the game.

and we know from experience that "too much variety" can kill ps3 metacritic scores from ps3 review haters.
