"Over the next three days, the EndSights crew will be taking a look at the upcoming E3 Press Conferences and examine what each person wants to see from the three hardware manufacturers.
We've already taken a look at Microsoft. Next on the clock is Sony:"
Gary Green said: You’ll be forgiven if you haven’t heard of the Ar Tonelico trilogy. The previous two games arrived so late in the PS2’s life-cycle that they simply went unnoticed. While most were tinkering with their shiny new PS3s, Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia and Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica were being ‘returned to sender’ by your local Game stores. Luckily, you won’t need to have played them to understand and appreciate this third and final chapter, Qoga (pronounced k-yoga) tells the story of a racial war between humans and Reyvateils, a breed of biologically produced female cyborgs capable of reproduction, while still having a digital mind.
Oh my god. I kinda wish this would get a remaster on PS5, it would be awesome. One of my favorite games on PS3.
That and 3D Dot Game Heroes. It's a shame that some stuff is stuck on PS3.
Ar Tonelico 3 is good I still prefer the first AT game. The music is solid in all the games and Akiko Shikata is a very talented singer bringing life to the game. Only annoying part is well I find is Saki I always choose Finnel or Tyria. KOEI so needs to HD remaster the franchise along with Ar Nosurge and Ciel Nosurge since it never came to North America. I would day one the Ar Toneliceo games and Ar Nosurge if they were remastered.
I still have the limited edition of Qoga unopened. Unfortunately it never went up in value like I had hoped all these years.
Gary Green said: We have a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D visuals, flashy turn-based combat, quirky anime characters with cheeky dialogue with plenty of partial nudity; Yes, this is a Compile Heart JRPG. Whilst the engine is borrowed from Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mugen Souls is more of a Disgaea spin-off. It’s not a strategy RPG as such, it merely sits within Disgaea’s ever-expanding universe (Multiverse? Netherverse? Your guess is as good as mine). You won’t find cameos though, since Mugen Souls is a franchise which aims to stand on its own two feet.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.
Art Green, Managing Editor:
There are three main things that I want to see from Sony in regards to the PlayStation 3: First, I think at least a $50, if not a $100, price reduction on the PS3 has got to happen at E3. $399 is simply too much to ask from consumers for the PlayStation 3, despite it’s ever growing fantastic software offerings. In addition to the price reduction, an announcement of a PS3 slim and a NXE-styled redesign of the front-end would do wonders for a re-branding effort.
Through in some great exclusives like Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, God of War III, Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, MAG, Project Trico and whatever else Sony has up their sleeves–this year might very well end up actually being the year of the PlayStation.
Chuck Waltz, Staff Writer:
For the first time in years, I’m actually most excited to see what Sony has up their sleeve for E3. With so many rumors floating around about the PSP Go!, I’m excited to see more about what this thing can do. Alongside the PSP Go! announcement, I’m hoping to see a new God of War PSP game as well as some gameplay of the LittleBigPlanet and Gran Turismo PSP games we’ve been hearing about. On the Playstation 3 front there are a lot of titles on the horizon that have got me pretty excited. I’m talking about Heavy Rain, Gran Turismo 5, Hideo Kojima’s new game, and of course God of War 3. A solid date for both a demo and release for some of these games would be fantastic. And finally, I’m still really hoping to see some PS2 software emulation come to the PS3.
Talor Berthelson, Staff Writer:
Sony–show us what your system can really do. So far this generation, I have seen nothing that appears to give the system more power than the Xbox 360 besides disc space. I also want to see what more they plan on doing with Home. The problem I see with Home is that, like Nintendo, it is so disconnected with the rest of the PSN. Maybe have it replace the XMB. You start your system and BOOM, you are in this digital world at your fingertips.
Lately, Sony has been doing good with PS1 titles, so just announce more publisher support for that and I’ll be happy.
Denis Poirier, Editor-in-Chief:
The PlayStation 3 seems to finally be coming into its own now, so I’m expecting a very good press conference from Sony. I’m hoping they will have some new content announced for Home, which has been a huge disappointment so far. I’m also expecting to see some more of God of War III and, who knows, they might even surprise us with an announcement for a new Metal Gear Solid game.

its ps2/ps3 bc
price drop
and they want nxe style interface
to force people automatically into home
and a god of war psp game.
endsights is cool right? Not !
everything they posted is something they want to complain about which should give them about 8 months of zero hardwork instead of reporting the game news.
Socomer your second post should have been your first post, it should have just gotten to the heart of what all the writers have stated.
Anyway, ps2 backwards compatibility won't happen because of lack of chipset (at least in the 40 and 80 models) as well as the emulation (which lacks in the 40 {and the new 80 models I believe?}) So we can probably throw that out unless Sony has something up their long sleeves.
A new God of War PSP would be nice, but what would it's substance be also? I have yet to play the PSP version of God of War so I really don't know to much about it.
Lastly, I strongly must disagree with having home take over and start right from the start, if so it should be an option just like how auto-start for games is an option. Anyway E3 is not to far from us now, we shall just have to see what is in store for us gamers.
