Dear Mr. Kojima Finally 'Jumping In'?

Xbox Evolved writes: "Metal Gear Solid 4 probably isn't coming to Xbox 360 but hey "Tornado Outbreak" is. At least when you check out the new Kojima Productions teaser that seems to be the best answer."

Tornado Outbreak is also on wii
what is the point?

Ninver5456d ago (Edited 5456d ago )

The desperation is strong with these delusional people. Tell me this, how the hell is a 50gig fully uncompressed AAA masterpiece gonna fit on a dvd9 disk without having major compromises?

Not to mention the fact that Kojima himself makes fun of the 360 while talking to Otacon about the need to not change disks because of the blu ray and actually calling the dvd9 a last gen format.

Edit: take away the 2gig security reserved space and you practically have a dvd7 more like it. It's laughable how M$ thought a last gen format was enough for the future. Obviously they had no intention of supporting the 360 for a long period of time lol. It's just laughable.

sonarus5456d ago

lol i feel bad for those 360 only owners who desperately desire a Kojima game. I remember when MGS4 on 360 was sooooo super confirmed lol...poor guys they deserve whatever kojima brings out next.

Johnny Rotten5456d ago (Edited 5456d ago )

Actually it's more of a reference joke that was made in the MGS1, and Otacon doesn't mention DVD9, he says disk 1 and 2.

game on!

edit: thanks for the disagree's,here's a link for your sorrows.

Ninver5456d ago

@ Rotten

Um i think you need to refer back to the game mate. Even if it wasn't a direct jab at the dvd9 and it's limited space, Kojima still made it clear that Blu Ray does not require a disk change. That is the real issue here bud.

hay5456d ago (Edited 5456d ago )

Wow, it's actually amusing to see people so desperately wanting to take a sip of Kojima's juicy awesomeness, but they hate the pot in which Kojima had put it, so much that they prefer to wait for him to pour it in their glasses instead of reaching for it by themselves.

Chubear5456d ago (Edited 5456d ago )

I also just recently found out that Epic is the reason the MS implemented a 512mb CPU. Before some serious insistence by Epic Games they were going to have the 360 have a 256mb CPU.

WOW! can you imagine if that had happened? They owe Epic EVERY success they consider they have this gen.

Side note:
Also, it's obvious the 360 fanbase don't give a toss about the Metal Gear series. They just want to be able to say MGS4 is multiplat and have that as a digg to the PS3 fanbase.

Hey, MGS wasn't exclusive last gen. MGS2 came out on the xbox too and it sold insanely horribly thus the reason Konami skipped a multiplat for MGS3 on the xbox. So now, maybe they've forgotten the pain they went through for MGS2 but it is certain that if MGS4 goes to the 360 it will not be the same game. There will be a heck of a lot of stuff taken out even with it being on multiple discs.

512 MB CPU?

You obviously don't know much about computers. The 512 upgrade refers to RAM. (Random Access Memory). CPU's are (Central Processing Units.)

It's not really bad that you aren't a tech head, I advise you stick to the gaming side of gaming. You bought up good points in your side note portion. ^.~

The increase was to the RAM and not the CPU Although, your other points are valid the portion confusing RAM with a CPU gutted your credibility.

It's still a good post. :)

Chubear5456d ago (Edited 5456d ago )

I meant RAM but still it goes without saying that my comment still stands. IF you chose to let a honest mistake keep you from information then that's jsut you.

I'm not a geek but I do know the difference btw Random Access Memory and a CPU and I'm very comfortable with me knowledge of computers. I made a simple mistake but I'm aware that techy geeks don't make such errors but I will not apologize for not being a computer nerd though.

Masta_fro5456d ago (Edited 5456d ago )

simple mistake?

512mb CPU! hahaha

thats great!

Sure you know the difference between RAM and CPU...its just that apparently you went absolutely stupid while writing your post.

Completely normal i mean i forget the difference between RAM and CPU every day.

The funny part was you trying to defend yourself...

Its ok man, nobody cares move on...

"i am not a geek" we know buddy, we know.

Sarcasm5456d ago

Ohhh, did you know that Kojima ate at a restaurant called "X" in Japan, that sells green drinks and has white walls!?

MGS4 ON THE 360 CONFIRMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"its just that apparently you went absolutely stupid while writing your post."

Everybody knows you never go Full Retard. He went Full Retard.

phosphor1125456d ago

"Kojima Productions has been known to make "obvious" teasers as means of misdirecting with most recently releasing a teaser for an iPhone game "Metal Gear Solid Touch" before it was revealed with colors and a green power button over black that fooled many into believing it was an upcoming Metal Gear Solid game for Xbox 360."

ARE YOU STUPID!? IS THIS AUTHOR RETARDED!? Green power logo on black background = 360!? Wtf!? UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGH HHHHHHHHHH!

All Time Greatness5456d ago

These comments are hilarious. I think Kojima is gonna bring it on with the 360 this E3.

Did you even read the first line of this article?..

Consoldtobots5456d ago

this is what kills me about MS and their fanboys, last night I was playing gears 2 horde mode. guess what? its a very fun game and the graphics are good enough where you can immerse yourself in the experience. That's ALL any console or software maker can ask for. That being said it seems having good titles OF THEIR OWN on the 360 is not good enough for MS and their fanboys. This is not about delivering a fun experience for microsoft but instead dominating and crushing all competition because thats the only they know how to do business. It's a really sad statement on what motivates a company like that to get into gaming. Reeves said it himself before he left SCEE "there is enough room for everybody and we're happy to see MS grow the market" to paraphrase. Imagine a world where two competing consoles have UNIQUE libraries?? Who wouldn't buy both at that point?
Instead MS is biting off more than they can chew in trying to go after Sony and the playstation brand and their console and BRAND will suffer for it.

I don't care what game it is. Kojima is legendary and I'll support whatever the game is, and what system(s) it's for.

multiplat i just want to know what it is

Freak of Nature5456d ago (Edited 5456d ago )

When that counter stops on June 1st right at the Microsoft event and Raiden is announced and exclusive to the 360?.........The internet will explode....

For me I actually want as many exclusive's as possible. I like the idea of games/series like Gears,Halo to remain with Xbox 360 and 720 for the future. And games like the next Team ICO game,GOW series and the MGS series (to name a few) to remain exclusive to SONY....Any MGS game should remain exclusive to SONY...

Now if this is a new IP,then I can see and understand the reasoning to go multi-plat,but even then,I still love the idea of as many top notch devs remaining exclusive to one side or the other....

Sarcasm5456d ago

"And what if "MGS Raiden" is announced as a 360 exclusive...?"

Pretty much a big "F U" to the 4-5 million of PS gamers.

Yeah, Kojima, hailed as a gaming god, respected throughout the industry, loved by the fans, will definitely spit in their faces.

phosphor1125456d ago

and is announced a PS3 exclusive, even before the press conference? Maybe its a PR gig to steal MS's thunder.

socomnick5456d ago

Not at all, Kojima does not owe anything to anyone nor does any other developer. This false sense of entitlement is alarming, Kojima announces a game, releases it and thats it. When you purchase one of his games you do not enter into a ever lasting relationship with Kojima where his next games are promised to you. While nobody knows what platforms his new game will be on, if it is 360 exclusive it isn't a slap to ps3 owners since he never promised you that game. This sense of loyalty and entitlement is annoying.

I know it's seriously pretty funny, these kid's think Kojima is in love with Playstation. He doesn't even care...in fact he probably wants to show he can compete with the big 360 franchises on Xbox also.

socomnick5456d ago

I think people fail to see games as products. They get far too attached and get too emotionally invested. Truth is that games are nothing more than products you buy, you dont owe anything to game companies or developers, and they dont owe you anything. They can develop and release games on whatever platform they want releasing a kojima 360 exclusive isnt a slap to the face of ps3 owners its just business and if the ps3 doesnt have this game its Sonys fault for not forking over some money to secure it.

Sarcasm5455d ago

"these kid's think Kojima is in love with Playstation. "

I think someone missed

"The PS3 is a theatre-type hardware, the 360 is a DVD player." -Kojima

I am curious to see what a game called "Tornado Outbreak" would be about. I will undoubtedly support any of Kojima's titles, though. The amount of polish put into his games is absolutely incredible.

The least-wanted Xbox 360 games ever made (or perhaps the least-known)

GR:

"As of right now, the list of Xbox 360 games that people want to be playable via the Xbox One's backwards compatibility boils down to a popularity contest. 'Letting the fans decide' is one of the easiest ways to make a gigantic corporation like Microsoft feel more personable, and thousands of gamers have jumped at the chance to vote on the Xbox Feedback page for the games they'd love to see make the transition. The current frontrunners include no-brainer picks like Call of Duty, Red Dead Redemption, and Skyrim, and we've all got some personal favorites on our wishlist for Xbox 360 oddballs than can shine again on Xbox One."

Nintendo Life: Tornado Outbreak Review

Tornado Outbreak is a surprisingly fun little budget release and a strong multi-platform debut for developer Loose Cannon Studios. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have gotten the level of promotional support from the publisher it deserved, so it's likely to have fallen off the radar of many gamers – if they even knew of its existence.

If you're a big fan of The Munchables and looking for something else along similar lines, you'll undoubtedly enjoy Tornado Outbreak. It doesn't have the same level of charm or replayability of Namco's title, but it's still certainly worth checking out.
