Yay for online coop. Ninja Gaiden Sigma was one of the best action games on the PS3. Hopefully, Team Ninja learnt their mistakes from the 360 version. I want Sigma 2 to be up on the top of my most wanted games list, right there with another beast, GOW3.

But then again, HHG and BS have been best friends lately.

Can't wait to play co-op in 1080p at 60 fps exclusively on my PS3.

CaseyRyback_CPO5886d ago (Edited 5886d ago )

Is that the same thing as Gaers Of War... the bootleg Chinese versions?

splel cehck yuor bs artciles ffs.

Halo3 MLG Pro5886d ago

Hey Ghost. Did the first Ninja Gaiden Sigma run in full 1080p?

Aclay5886d ago

@Halo3 MLG

Yes, the first Ninja Gaiden Sigma did support 1080p at 60FPS

"Tecmo said that it has just recently managed to implement full 1080p support into the game, and at a full 60fps to boot. Yes, this is one slick-looking title."

http://ps3.ign.com/articles...

If the first Sigma supported 1080p, I'm pretty sure Sigma 2 will have it.

Halo3 MLG Pro5886d ago

Sorry to say but the first Ninja Gaiden Sigma was NOT native 1080p but upscaled. A lot of people get these 2 confused.

yay for boobs in your avatar

ShiNe-Box-5886d ago (Edited 5886d ago )

Technically, both of you guys are wrong.

The game IS rendered in 1080p. It's the 1920 part that's upscaled.

+Bubbles MLG. I'm glad fans of Halo 3, a game rendered in 640p, aren't afraid of discussing native resolutions.

Halo3 MLG Pro5886d ago (Edited 5886d ago )

Technically I'm not wrong. It's not NATIVE 1080p. Personally resolution doesn't matter to me. Especially since I game in my 42 inch 720p where 1080p doesn't matter. I'm not going to enjoy Halo 3 any better if it's 1080p.

I'm just trying to educate a few people here since they don't understand what native 1080p is.

hopefully this becomes a growing trend for companies to demonstrate their games to the world every year at a major show like E3 and TGS

PirateThom5886d ago

They really need to get on board with it. If they're showing games on the floor, the demos should be available, at least for a limited time and maybe even expire a week after the event ends, just to let everyone experience E3..

jBat175886d ago

with all the additions, improvements, and fixes, this game is now triple-A.. poor xbots, another triple-A title that's only available on the PS3, but it's not an exclusive.. strange..

lord_of_balrogs5886d ago

Really? our version isn't gimped in art style atleast. We have a thing called blood and dismemberment in our version, you know the stuff you bleed when your arm gets chopped off. Instead you get some stupid purple fluid.

DNAgent5885d ago

If the only think you can talk about is blood & dismemberment then the game must not have been that good. I've played other NG games & not being able to dismember someone did not mess up my game experience.

By the way, NGS2 will still have blood & that "purple fluid" is what you call style. Hayashi will do this game justice unlike Itagaki. Besides, added content > dismemberment.

Transporter475886d ago

why did i buy the first one should of known this was coming... oh well i'll buy it again xD i love this series

dragunrising5885d ago

I'm in the same boat. I'm compelled to buy every version of Ninja Gaiden ever made.

Make sure you beat mission mode thoroughly as the downloadable extras(costumes and mission mode)are exclusive. DLC is not guaranteed to come over since NGS2 must differentiate from its non-Sigma brother. It won't be a carbon copy.

This list has nine games....

And if these are the "hardest", that's a bit alarming because I'm pretty average and I've managed to 100% more than a third of this list (Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Hard Corps Uprising, and Catherine).

Dante's inferno... an excellent GoW inspired game. So sad the sequels will never be.

LoveSpuds978d ago (Edited 978d ago )

I recall enjoying it well enough at the time, but it wasn't a patch on God of War 3 which came out around the same time I think.

I own it and fired it up on my PS3 about 6 months ago and time hadn't been particularly kind to it although it still very much nailed the atmosphere and it is a cool as he'll setting and universe.

Inverno978d ago

Dante's Inferno needs the GOW treatment. No cut camera, with a real hellish depiction of the 9 circles and a story as dark and as serious would be amazing.

Yui_Suzumiya978d ago

Still pretty amazing there was a PSP version that was actually pretty good. I remember playing it 10 years ago. I had the PS3 version when it first came out and loved it.

Hellcat2020978d ago

Ahh the memories of playing Heavenly Sword
Such a amazing experience

LoveSpuds978d ago

Yup, I remember being blown away with Heavenly Sword. I remember holding out hope that they would go back and add trophy support as a incentive to go back and replay the game, but I don't think they ever did?

Yui_Suzumiya978d ago

I couldn't beat the final boss though! Spent several days trying but eventually gave up, lol. Still enjoyed it though.

refocusedman978d ago

heavenly sword was such a short, but amazing game. that game should be prime material to be made into a download only remaster.

YoungKingDoran978d ago

I really enjoyed Castlevania, but struggled to get into it again reattempting it a few years back. I still think it does another of things well; story, presentation, level varietily and art style at least. Gameplay maybe has not stood test of time unfortunately which makes it a chore to get through.

They need to make a true sequel to Ninja Gaiden 2, that was the most satisfying combat I've experienced in a hack n slash game.

micdagoat192012d ago

been playing 1&2 on and off since they were released. I usually will play until I get frustrated then take another year off lol. Nver tried 3 or the 4th one even though they are in my backlog.

Domestupidname2012d ago

I tried to go back to Sigma but good god those controls are just insufferable. Couldn't do it.
