GameSpot have received a copy of the soon-to-be-released PSP title, The Fast and the Furious. Here's what they have to say about it:
"The Fast and the Furious seems like a movie series tailor-made for racing games, and it's a bit surprising that it took until 2006 for a publisher to finally get a console game made around the license. The PSP version of the game looks like a fairly literal translation of last year's console game and might be a good option for fans of the extreme racing scene who also happen to be on the go a lot. Expect to see a full review of the game once it's released in late April."
GF365: "Can you imagine finding an unreleased Xbox game on an old hard drive? Well, that’s what happened to Modern Vintage Gamer, a YouTuber dedicated to exploring the world of retro consoles and their secrets."
Damn. I was hoping it was the original open world F&F game that was cancelled. That game actually sounded cool. This is just an Xbox version of the Tokyo Drift game. Still cool to see though.
I remember getting a demo of Lamborghini from OXM just before it got cancelled because the studio collapsed, it was so good and when I heard they converted that game into Juiced I bought it day one; the demo was better!
With the ninth movie entry in the long-running Fast Saga on everyone's mind (and starring my man Vin Diesel, among others), it's a good time to revisit the history of Fast & Furious video games.
I'm looking at the tags for this article and almost wanna report it for tag spam haha
I really wish they would release a DECENT Fast and the Furious game for consoles. It seems like a natural fit and instant brand awareness. The latest one looks like a train wreck. With all of the F and F money, you'd think they would invest a little of it into a real game.
I really wish Driver 1-3 could get remaster/reboot… those games kick the shit out of this fast and furious trash
Not a one was good. I rather they make Underground 3 since NFS Underground was based off of Fast and the Furious 1
Fast and the Furious Crossroads was Crap.
Top Gear 2 would have looked like this with an extended storyline. Furious 7, the seventh installment in the Fast and the Furious film series is opening this week, so CineFix reimagined the whole series as one big action-packed racing game from the 90s.
