GN40 requires DXVA 2.0 OS
Fudzilla: "We’ve gotten a few more details as to why Intel’s GN40 is having problems with HD content in Windows XP.
DXVA 2.0 is only supported by Windows Vista and Windows 7 and the EVR (Enhanced Video Renderer) is the part that is critical when it comes the media playback on these types of machines, as it’s the part that offloads the CPU and enables the GPU to take over most of the workload when it comes to playing back video content."
