Why do you cheat on video games? Do you use them to skip a level boss or to dominate your opponents? Big Fat Cheats are running a poll & need your input.
first of all I use cheats for fun, not to progress in levels, it adds so much replayability in to games, just look at gta san andreas. However it doesn't look like it matters anymore as almost all games released do not have cheats, it is a sad sight indeed.
Cheats in the old days were mainly fun add-ons in the single player. It was not really 'cheating' unless you were too crap to complete the game. Cheaters these days tend to hang around in the multiplayer and ruin everyone elses experience whether it be lag switching or out of map glitches. I reckon the worst culprits do it so that they have good stats and can show they have achieved something in life, maybe because they fail in real life. I can't remember the last time I cheated. It was probably in GTA4 and before that was probably GTA:SA. Only did it if you get something fun from it.
The only game in recent memory I can remember using a cheat for is Guitar Hero World Tour, because I just wanted to unlock all of the songs so I could enjoy them.
"I reckon the worst culprits do it so that they have good stats and can show they have achieved something in life, maybe because they fail in real life." Tell us more, Mr. Freud.
I only cheated after playing the game, what fun would san andreas have been without all those awesome cheats?
I'll usually just use them for fun also, first finish the game properly, than do whatever you want. But!.. would this be considered cheating, for instance if i were to play on a cracked server with adjusted rates? I personally sometimes prefer adjusted rates, not bothered leveling up to 100 or 200 in a few months or even years if i could do it in a few hours or days with easy, you can still enjoy the game. :) (sometimes)
when i have tried my skills and still get my ass handed to me by the computer. i dont use cheats for online multiplayer games i think thats just silly.
Angry Video Game Nerd. Ontopic: I use cheats only for two purposes. Replay Value and a edge over getting passed a hard obstacle, that ate up to much of my time and made my efforts futile.
Polls are not allowed. Mods are useless
If you never used that, either your too young to know or you were not playing games back then. The issue is that we are raised to be winners, to win, be on top. As a child, it's simple. But when that mentality is carried to adulthood and not kept in perspective, it gets out of hand. I play MP games all the time and I will say I am hardly an elite. I have my rounds, but I'm usually running as second backup. I have accepted that a game can be fun, even if I lose as long as it's balanced. Some cannot do that and see others excelling and want to be listed among those at the top. They then cheat to have their names up there. It's pretty sad when you have to cheat to feel like your are someone.
up up down down left right left right b a start? thats the only cheat i know that was cool lol, because u do it back then i all the people around u said *wow 30 lives AWSOME how u do that!?* lol, Contra moments ;'D
That is exactly it.
they cheat because they suck! ----------------------------- -------- or maybe because the one playing is a little boy and want things easy to get started. nah its because they suck :P
I dont really use cheats. Personally i dont see the point in using codes to beat a hard section. You just keep trying till its done. the only time to cheat, or something Ive done, use a walkthrough, is when you literally dont know how to progress in a game. Once i literally had no idea what I was doing and had to use a walkthrough to help. Though thats more bad level design... Last time I used a code was in GTA4. But I wanted to see what the RPG was like XD
cheat on Killzone 2? i have not seen cheats anywhere in KZ2. what about r2? aren't some of these game have no ability to cheat? im wondering.
do game guides count as cheating? dear God i hope not =$
to me i think guides count as cheating, as you're not really finishing the game properly. But games which have been set horribly that's an exception. So basciall guides are is a form of cheating.
