The Most Useless Video Game Items

I'm not sure this list is complete without mentioning one of, or collectively, the thousands of pieces of useless crap in an Elder Scrolls game or Fallout 3.

but those items are purely just there to add detail with the world the fact that you can interact with them is their entire purpose.
But still useless though.

I immediately thought of toilet paper in FFVII. Conspiracy theories abounded over that one. Spent hours trying to give it to that indisposed gentleman in Rocket Town.

List is kinda weak though.

SF's Vega? Halo's Needler? MGS's cigs? Castlevania's daggers?

All highly useful if you know how.

I always like to be reminded about Shenmue, such a great game , i spent hours just playing Hang On and Space Harrier in the arcade on that game. The Capsules were pretty useless though.

I thought they would have included the Crocodile Cap from MGS3: Snake Eater. I could never find a single situation in which enemy soldiers were near enough to a lake or other body of water and I could use the cap to disguise as a crocodile and go in for a stealth kill. The idea is cool, but its totally useless.

The cigarettes proved more useful in MGS4; they depleted health but restored Old Snake's Psyche.

I thought the rotten eggs in res 5 were kinda useless (unless there's a secret i dunno about, like combining them or something)

If you equip them and then use them as a weapon they're a one hit kill on normal enemies and you get an achievement for doing it.

I'm fairly sure, even in the first Halo the Needlers were bloody useful, specially against the Flood.

in mgs universe ( for snake ) is not that useless .
first you can reveal laser traps with them BUT if you're using a sniper rifle ( example against sniper wolf ) no more shaking ... yeah it lower your health BUT you can now snipe very easily ..it's not That useless

lol bananas on mario kart, er..... well they werent that useless. i mean, put it on a speed up ramp and see the banana do its work >:D lol

Banana peels can also be held behind you and are the main defense against red turtle shells when your hogging first place. I think if he was going to choose any useless item from Mariokart it should have been the most recent squid ink item. Only a complete retard can't drive with ink on their screen.

lol oblivion has tons of useless things...

One of the best useless things I got once though was honestly called "mothers head". Its thwe head of some crazy guy you kill.

It does nothing at all. Though it does make a brilliant football XD
