IGN: Mighty Flip Champs Hands-On

WayForward Technologies is no stranger to Nintendo’s handhelds. While the company through the years had its hands in dozens of licensed games destined for obscurity, it also created some standout offerings, at least two of which earned it a reputation as a development studio that still cares about the hardcore. A long time ago, creative director Matt Bozon churned out a Game Boy Color title named Shantae, a cross between Castlevania, Metroid and Mega Man, that received critical raves. And more recently, WayForward shipped Contra 4 for DS — a game so brutally difficult that it won over even the most skeptical message board fanatics.

Soon enough, the company will debut A Boy and his Blob, a beautiful 2D platformer, for Wii, but in the interim, there’s Mighty Flip Champs!, a brain-seizure-inducing platformer-puzzle game for DSiWare.
