You might think of ArmA II as being a huge, single-player version of Battlefield 2. Unlike linear shooters, where you travel along a narrow, predetermined path and encounter heavily scripted events, ArmA II drops you in a virtual world and gives you some goals, but how you get those goals done is up to you.
From rogue-likes to the newer Souls series, there's a solid subsection of games that are purposefully difficult to a mind-boggling, controller-throwing degree. In recent months we've of course received Dark Souls III, but that's not the only new game that will test your perseverance and punish you for making the slightest mistake.

And although their tweet was a cover for their own mistake, it is also partially the truth: video games have been getting increasingly realistic. There have been quite a few other instances of games being mistaken for real life content, in some rather more serious situations. What I love more than the viewpoints are all the hiding spots on the buildings. All the same and too many of them. Looks kinda weird, but apparently not suspicious enough.

well if i had ever heard of ArmA I i may be more interested. Why is it these days PC exclusive games never get any advertising. This game doesn't look half bad but i'll need to check out the original first.
Why is it in the PS3 section? I haven't seen any indications of a port to the PS3 or 360. Operation Flashpoint 2, on the other hand, is coming to the consoles next month. I can't wait.
