MGU Review: Puzzle World 3

Puzzle World 3 has a fair bit in common with the game Puzzle Magic 3 (more so than 2/3s of its name). From the same developer as PM3, World also requires you to put together identical groups of two or three cubes in order to make them disappear.

Before you start to panic, however, PW3 is definitely not one of those instances where a game is re-released under a different name. There is a key difference between the two games, despite having the same basic objective. In Puzzle World 3, you control a Sorcerer’s Apprentice, moving him around the various levels of Toyland where the matching blocks are located.

Initially, the Apprentice can only approach the cubes and push them towards one another, but as he progresses through the level, he will grab a variety of power-ups that can allow him to manipulate cubes from distance, push more of them at once, even create Portals to get cubes through otherwise blocked routes.
