Games.On.Net Review: New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis

With its New Play Control! line, Nintendo is offering gamers the chance to play GameCube titles they may have missed out on with the new control system of the Wii. Last month's release of Pikmin showed how a new control method can breathe new life into a classic game. This month's release, New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis does the opposite, showing how a new control method can cause considerable harm to a game.

But will the people over in the UK buy it?

koehler834077d ago

No. What reason is there to buy it?

This thing has no reason to exist anywhere with high broadband availability.

ArmGunar4077d ago

Agreed.

Useless and extremly ugly ...

Release a Wii at 99€ when Wii U don't sell very much ...
And people still don't understand that Wii and Wii U are different.

NobodyImportant4077d ago (Edited 4077d ago )

I live in the UK. And to answer your question: No.

CustardTrout4077d ago

"Wii Mini also being compatible with most existing Wii accessories."
What a load of shit.

whu? what dis? why dis?

who told Nintendo that anyone wanted this?

Zichu4077d ago

This will just create more confusion between a Wii, Wii Mini and the Wii U...

I just don't see the point in this at all.

from the beach4077d ago

How's that any more confusing than, say, a PS2, PS2 Slim and PS3? Or Xbox and 360, or whatever. People aren't fools..

contradictory4077d ago

it's probably for budget gamers
dont know what's the difference to normal Wii though
but if it plays games like normal then i don't see a reason why someone would rather get original one then

well, i wouldn't get why anyone would even get a Wii at this point anymore to begin with...

New Video Game Releases – June 12 – June 18

Michael Futter writes: We’re finally starting to recover from a whirlwind E3 2012 filled with exciting new game announcements and rapidly approaching major releases (yes, I would very much like to play XCOM: Enemy Unknown right now). However, while some of those games are a bit of a wait, this week has some solid entries.

Lollipop Chainsaw looks interesting, but not $60 interesting. Looking forward to reading reviews.

Cataract4338d ago

Another week of slim pickings, it seems.

Although I'm really happy to see Pikmin 2 come out for the Wii with updated controls. I know original GameCube copies are relatively expensive so this could potentially bring down the price of that although I find that unlikely. It will make the game much more readily available to gamers, so that's always a plus!

Unfortunately, I don't have a Wii to play it on. I think I'm just biding my time until I can get one for about $50 or so and then go crazy on cheap games.

Lollipop Chainsaw is a day one purchase, for sure.

lollipop chainsaw and gravity rush, day 1 purchase for me!
