Modojo: WarioWare: Snapped! Review

Modojo: "If there's any glimmer of hope, it is that when the camera works, it's a neat trick. Every time you complete a series of five microgames, you'll be treated to a fun slideshow showing you how ridiculous you look while playing the game. But there's not even a way to save those cool images, and that doesn't justify spending $5.

While we're huge fans of the series, WarioWare: Snapped! is a novel tech demo that shows just how far Nintendo needs to go to create a compelling DSi experience."

Wow, I thought the game was worth a fiver(Well it was free anyway) and I've found that once you find a good place to set up it works every time and it's great for a short burst of fun.

My main complaint is the fact it's not very portable and the camera can be schizophrenic with the recognition software. I'd personally give it 3/5 but that's just me. It's the first warioware game I've played as well so it might have nothing compared to the other games.

I downloaded it but still need to give it a try, but if you haven't played any of the other WarioWare games at the very least get the GBA one! That's the first and golden child of the series imo

Well I haven't been able to find any except touched(which was £20, so not bad) but I'll keep my eye out for it.

Surely there's been plenty worse out there for $5?

WarioWare: The TV Show

LoreHound.com connects the dots between NBC's Minute to Win It and the fore bringing of microgames, the WarioWare franchise.

iTZKooPA writes: "We're not here to discuss how WarioWare was the first entry into the (now standard) party game market. Or how its simple and intuitive design made developers think that it must be an easily repeatable formula; one that's possible to recreate on a shoestring budget, no less. No, none of that is why we are here. We are here because WarioWare's potential has transcended mere video game design, and leapt into the realm of analog games. To my knowledge, WarioWare's simple and fun games have lead it to become the first video game to become a TV game show."

Now all we need is a game in Minute to Win It where the contestant has to jump over an automotive potato.
