First ingame image Modern Warfare 2
Translated from Dutch newspost: Activision has announced that Modern Warfare 2 will be a whole new intellectual property. The game will be independent from the Call of Duty-franchise, which will be taken over by Treyarch.
Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling: "We know long time fans will be disappointed at first, when they hear Infinity Ward will stop with the Call of Duty franchise. But they will soon realize it was the best decision that we could make". This soon refers to a new trailer which will appear in 14 days.
They also announced something about the story in Modern Warfare 2. As in previous games you will play with different characters in different parts of the world. One country is already known, Indonesia. There is a terrorist threat in Indonesia and you must conquer this. Modern Warfare 2 will be real modern warfare, the armies are privatized and competition is fierce between them. You will not only take into account the terrorists but also the private armies.
The first ingame image of Modern Warfare 2 was also leaked, you can see this in the following url. Modern Warfare 2 will appear on the 10th of November on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
