Max Payne 1 and 2, for me, have been two of the greatest gaming experience Ive ever had.

Such style and intensity, these games where true gems!

I like max payne as much as the next person but the games are overrated. Max payne was the first game i played on the last gen systems and i loved it but its no OMG!!! best game ever that people seem to remember it being. I played the game again less than 2yrs ago perhaps thats why its not that exciting to me.

I have low expectations for the new max payne. Considering bullet time was the main gimmick for that game and right now bullet time alone is not nearly enough to lift a game

Well, one problem, you might have been playing the console version. As I remember (I could be wrong) but it played much better on a PC. Also I think what attracts a lot of people is its gritty film noire atmosphere and style. I for one am very excited and have enjoyed the previous 2 titles immensely.

Played the first one on pc and console and the 2nd was strictly on PC. We will see how the game ends up but my expectations remain low.

Don't get me wrong i loved the film noir stuff too but i think people are over praising the game

I'm surprised you didn't like the 2nd one. The 1st was cool and all but i personally loved the second on console. I guess we all just have different opinions and until this day there are certain games that have never appealed to me either.

While Max Payne was a good game back in the day it really doesn't hold up well gameplay wise over the long run , nor graphical and while the atmosphere of the game was rather good it's not one of those game where I can see many ppl going OMG over... take away the bullet time feature from the 1st Max Payne and you have a rather mediocre game. The second was good also but the games aint that great.

From the picture he would seem to be in the same artistic direction as the movie "A Scanner Darkly", but I actually hope it ISNT that type of graphics.

I don't know what to expect here. Rockstar Vancouver have only made Bully before this. Although it was a great game they need to amp things up for this one. People will have high expectations.

A Max Payne sans Remedy might not be such a good idea. Then again, waiting until they finish up Alan Wake may see the franchise buried in obscurity.

Many people are criticizing this screen because is an artwork with the same style like GTA, and not like the original Max Payne.

I think that Bully was a great game and Rockstar Vancouver can do a great Max Payne like Remedy.

Max Payne 2 was produced by Rockstar, but the games was developed by Remedy Entertainment.

On Max Payne 3, Rockstar is the producer again, but is Rockstar Vancouver who developed it.

So Max Payne 3 is coming? Well, it won't be as good as mp1 or mp2 because Remedy isn't making it. I feel bad for this. Max Payne 1 and 2 were the best Finnish games ever released until Flatout. Now some Canadiens are going to make the third part. I know Remedy is busy with AW but WHYYYY!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

The conscept art looks good though, maybe I just wish that Max Payne wasn't on it. I don't want Max Payne to be another GTA IV.

Hmmm.....the whole thing sounds iffy to me.....like someone said it sounds like the concept from Condemned....the protagonist has become a bitter man, the world sucks...I'm suspect against everyone...blah...blah..blah.
I hope its good....R* rarely disappoints but its not Remedy at the reigns of this game? If so, I'm definitely a little worried, I hope its doesn't go the "Homecoming" route because of a different dev.

This isn't a screen it's promo art work for the game. The title is kind of misleading.

That said they seem to be going in a very different direction with the new game which is a good think as we had already seen plenty of Max Payne rip off's so it will be nice to see how they make the series shine after so long.

I know remedy did a fine job of all the other Max Payne games but I do prefer Rockstar being on the job.
