Nintendo starts off the week with a few new WiiWare and Virtual Console games. The Wii-kly releases have been announced. Watch for them on the Wii Shop today from Nintendo (available beginning 9am PST):
WiiWare Release:
Pop'Em Drop'Em SAMEGAME (Hudson Entertainment, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points)
Virtual Console Releases:
Bomberman®'94 (TurboGrafx16, 1-5 players, Rated E for Everyone-Comic Mischief, 700 Wii Points)
DETANA TWIN BEE (TurboGrafx16, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone-Mild Cartoon Violence, 700 Wii Points)
It's no secret that Wii had tons of awesome TurboGrafx titles yet none are available for Wii U. Sure, you can download a few in Japan but we're not as lucky in the west.
More important than that, downloadable GBA and DS games need to be playable on 3DS.
I was just looking at buying a TG16. Boy have they gone up in price. I would love to see some of the better games on wiiu.
Imagine if Nintendo released an online store that has every single game from their past instead of trickling out 2 games a week. Some day maybe..
One of the classic entries of the Bomberman series is going to be released next week on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console, Nintendo confirmed earlier today.
