As a swan song to the PS2 Persona 4 isn't the highest note and all the bizarre characters, storylines and Personas you unlock can't change that. But if you don't mind grinding too much then there is some enjoyment to be had.
"Atlus, the publisher of the ever-growing Persona franchise had registered a bunch of domains related to the Persona series. Keep in mind, companies register domains and trademarks all the time that they never actually act on. (Example: Sony’s glove controller for PS4) However, the series is continuing to grow with its fifth main installment shipping 1.5 units on PS4 — that’s a huge number for this once-niche RPG series. The series quickly gained traction after the release of Persona 3 on the PS2 — ever since then we’ve gotten a handful of remakes and spin-offs. Because I’m such a fanboy of Persona, I want to go through the list of domains and give my thoughts on what each domain Atlus has registered could be." -- PlayStation Enthusiast
Im all for it. This series as a whole is well thought out, entertaining to play, and made well. Keep em coming!
The digital PS3 version of Mass Effect Trilogy has dropped to $4.49. Odin Sphere, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha versus King Abaddon, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga, Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2 and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 are also on sale for $4.99 each.
$4.50 for the Mass Effect Trilogy?! I would jump on that if I didn't already have the game. I also own all of these Atlus titles physically, and I think I did get the digital version of Persona 4 just to support the digital release/have it on my PS3, even though I think my PS2 is still the most authentic way to play it. Granted, Golden is the definitive version IMHO with maybe one minor point in favour of the original. Perhaps I should open up a Tracy Rooney vs. Erin Fitzgerald discussion right here for my own amusement, but derailing the Internet can't be that easy, can it?
Phoenix Down is hosted by Drew Leachman and Matt Quinn. Each segment focuses on an older game the duo decides upon with another member of the ZTGD crew or special guest. They play through and discuss the mechanics and how well it holds up today. It is the ultimate in backlog elimination.
The crew finally reach the conclusion to this MegaTen game.

I can't say that I agree. Characters are realistic, plots are a combination of intriguing and humorous, music is awesome, graphics/presentation is impeccable, battle system is perfect, personas are designed remarkably, gameplay is fun, voice acting is pitch-perfect. It's actually one of my favorite RPG's of all time, I say that with no hesitation. Any reviewer that failed to appreciate these aspects of it is a reviewer whose opinion I will never base any importance on.
Where they taking some serious drugs!?
Persona 4 is the best RPG you can get this time!
It's obvious this reviewer got his ass kicked by the difficulty level and felt the only way to win was to grind most of the game.. tsk tsk. A gamer's skill level (or lack there of in this case) shouldn't affect a review score, but unfortunately this is a shining example of when it happens.
68/100 ? Persona 4 ??
you're kidding me , right ?
a rpg who use almost all of the graphic power of the ps2 ..with a use amount of style inside , several ending , sidequests , sidequests and more sidequests ... also ..funny dialogue with 3 difficulty levels and a large amounts of length
what was he playing ? definitely not the same game i'm playing right now
This guy has no idea what he is talking about. First of all, the lowest possible score you could give this game is a 9/10. Anything lower and your tastes would be in question. Sorry, but there's no way you could give this game a 68/100 when user reviews put it anywhere from a 9.4-9.5/10 and an S/A+ (S is better than A). Seriously, that's like giving Final Fantasy VII the same grade. What were you thinking? Maybe you just hate quality games.
Second, the article has several inaccuracies that reflects his effort in the game. He complains about the strange names of magic skills like Bufu and Agi, having no idea what they refer to. I mean, even if you ignored the ice icon next to Bufu and fire for Agi, you could just press SQUARE for help and there you go, "Deals light Ice/Fire damage to one foe." Now, how hard was that. Certainly not 20 hours of mind numbing confusion as the author states. Plus, he mentions there is no way to auto-advance dialog and that he was tired of pressing X. Well, there's this nifty feature if you open up your menu and go to System followed by Config. You see that nice option titled "AUTO-ADVANCE," yeah? You can just select whether you want that on or off.
Seriously, was he even playing the same game I was? Ridiculous! He even went as far to only give a five paragraph write-up. What is this joke? Now you want to complain that the kids don't shoot themselves to summon Personas? Hahaha, they weren't even guns in the first place. I believe they even stated so if you played the game. They're Evokers. Entirely different. Otherwise you wouldn't have been seeing mystical blue mojo come out of their head when they shot. There is no blood! Hell, the dog and robot don't even shoot themselves. It was only meant to be a metaphor. Same for P4 with holding the Tarot cards in your hand and smashing them. On top of that, they have the glasses, another metaphor. Whoa! Okay, I'm done here.

In other news, I was just thinking, wouldn't it be cool if Atlus were acquired by Sony. Then they wouldn't need to worry about budgeting problems as much. Then again, I kind of like how they develop exclusively for multiple consoles right now. Maybe they should stay the same now that I think about it.
