People want the PS3 to fail

As always, one does not have to look very far to find all manner of "here’s why I think the PS3 is failing," or "good lord the USS Sony is sinking fast, everyone buy Xboxes and burn Kazuo Hirai in effigy" articles right now. Now, it’s really obvious that the console war has long since gotten out of hand, and completely blind fanboyism and bias has reached a fevered peak.
The now-staple whipping boy of in this little circus is the Playstation 3, and from fanboys and doomsayers you’d think that Sony was hemhorraging money and anyone who used the system bled from the eyes and fingernails. Oh crap, someone find me a band-aid!
God knows Microsoft takes every opportunity possible to tell everyone just how poorly they think Sony is doing. Now, I could be crazy, but just maybe they should spend some of that PR time and money fixing Vista or the 360’s hardware issues. But, of course, putting out a high-quality product has never been a concern of theirs, so why start now?
