Cory writes, "Bright lights of the stadium drown out the darkness of night and the screams from the crowd make the pressure almost unbearable. It's the bottom of the 9th, and my BoSox are down by one run with two outs. The tying run is on first base just begging to be brought home. The pitcher waits for his signal, grips the ball tight, and hurls a mean curve ball. As the bat sweeps across the plate I know it's a second too late.
Jumping to their feet, the crowd begins to get anxious, Yanks and BoSox fans alike are starting to feel the pinch. Heart beats begin throbbing in my ear so loud that I can barely hear the crowd anymore, sweat dripping from my brow tickles the side of my face, and the final pitch is shot towards the plate as if from a cannon. As the bat cracks against the ball the stands instantly silence, if only for a second, as the ball screams out of the park and the last two runs seal the deal."

Step back in time with us as we put the spotlight on events big and small that have significantly altered the gaming culture."
Hard to believe only ten years ago we were just barely coming into the PlayStation 2 era...I was also only 11 years old HAH!
Direct2Drive is having a great sale on their catalog of 2K Games including BioShock, Sid Meier's Civilization IV, MLB2K9 and more for under $10.
...and you have a decent computer, there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't take advantage of this offer.
10 bucks for one of the best games of all time that STILL looks incredible? Wow.

"If you're a die-hard, non-PS3 owning baseball fan, this is going to be your only option for the sport this year anyway. Hopefully a patch will fix the numerous issues, and if they are, you'll be getting a decent yet flawed MLB experience. With the 360 market to themselves however, MLB fans deserve better from 2K."
It is an awesome game for baseball fans
This may be good, but it will be hard to compete with MLB 09: The Show
Totally dug the "1st person" opening, the reviewer putting himself into the game.
