Enjoy your super model but the technical prowess of the PC is actually laughable when one considers that PC games can't touch the MP system built into Killzone 2. This is everything from the leveling up to the clan support. Built in VOIP, matchmaking, tourneys, etc etc.

Even Crysis MP doesn't touch the environments in Killzone 2. Not graphically, and certainly not in the violent experience.

But all indications seem to point to poor sales and buzz outside the internet. Things just don't look good for PS3, if games this good fail to generate the interest of gamers. It just seems gamers have moved on to XBOX 360.

Halo's AI is far superior to KZ2's. as far as single player is concerned. KZ2 has better graphics, but H3 has better balance, variety, and gameplay.

Great second game for GG though, that's a vast improvement over the first one. KZ has the potential to be a good franchise on PS3, but i don't see it gaining the cult level Halo has with it's gamers.

Really can't wait to see what Naughty Dog has up it's sleeves, it's been one of my developers to watch since the PS1. I really like them.

The title of the article asked a question. "You want a Halo Killer?" and I say "NO".

We don't need a Halo killer, the first title was supposed to be a Halo Killer and now it seems like even if it's a decade later people still won't let the "Halo Killer" thing go. Halo doesn't need to be killed and KZ2 doesn't have to kill anything as it stands on its own just fine.

This should of just been "EverGeek Reviews Killzone 2" and it didn't need the flamebait of "Halo Killer" added.

PS: 360 is great and the PS3 is great. Actually with KZ2 lately the PS3 is pure awesome! hehe

I have been playing that game from 2007. It is so addicting. It ruins other games for me. I bought LittleBigPlanet, MGS4, Uncharted, you name it. No game could stop me from playing COD4. What a great game that is. RE5 seems to do it. I have been playing that demo over 50 times now.

Killzone doesn't need to kill halo. It's a great game and it's super-fun and that's all that matters. As long that I'm having fun and all the players who bought the game are having fun (well...except Mart since it's a PS3 exclusive), then that's all that matters. GAME ON!!! ^_^

i've never played halo 3, but from what i've seen there seems to be alot of jumping, shooting out of "man cannons" and vehicles. KZ multiplayer doesn't have any of that. and for me is alot more exciting. killzone is very true to it's name in creating very excellent choke points that literally become killzones. and that's where it shines.

so does it kill halo, TF2, or cod 4?

Really? This is the most annoying part of the online play. Large wonderful looking maps and all except the desert level end up being a big chokepoint Killzone with noting but bouncing grenade launchers and shottys. I just wish the action was more spread around the maps. Mid/long range rifle against rifle battle and such.

the battle devolves into a mess. When you are playing at lieutenant or higher level a map usually goes like this......

1) Objective is declared
2) both teams rush in and drop spawn points
3) both teams start spawning in directly on target
4) both teams start dropping turrets near spawn points
5) the ones that don't spawn in these spawn points stand outside the edge and launch missles, grenades, shotgun blasts into the mayhem

This happens with every search and destroy, capture and hold, and similar missions. Since the position of many of the objectives never change you are starting to see people set these up in anticipation of a coming mission. Killzone 2 multiplayer is definitely more fun when you are low level.

I'm sorry but i really can't share the hype here.
The graphics are amazing but i HATE the slow reponse of the controls.
If it had the controls of the Resistance games it would be the best fps available right now.
But gameplay and thus controls are more important then pretty pics.
Now i personally see a good but not great fps. A shame, certainly if you look at the development time it had.

Simply because of the controls. I hate to sound like I'm bashing it though, cause I think it's an amazing game. But why the developers decided to make the controls so sluggish is beyond me.

That fixes your "sluggish" controls and makes the game a lot more responsive.

Like it or not, Halo's gameplay is quite unique in a way any shooter like Killzone2 isn't remotely like it - same with just about all shooters in fact

If you dig Killzone2 or even any other shooter over Halo then fine but to slag on it or say it's been bested is to really not understand at all what the gameplay for Halo is all about - it's far more layered (especially the 3rd game)due to a great deal many mechanics than other shooters - and to ask exactly what these layers are supposedly, shows you wont know what you're talking about

Truth is, those that are saying Killzone2 is better than anything are mostly those blinded by the visual punch that is K2 - yes it's a very good example of a tight shooter that does things perfectly well in certain areas but Halo beater? Yes if you're looking at obvious things such as visual clout but past that?, do yourself a favour and understand exactly what that gameplay in Halo actually is

My time with K2 has certainly told me something though, casual it aint and considering most gamers are of this crowd, K2 will likely f!ck them off - already talked to a couple

I'll be honest, i'm not a huge fan of Killzone2 but it's very well done in lots of ways

Iv'e gamed on too much Halo and it plays an altogether different game for me to want to play anything else shooter wise
