With the relative failure of the GameCube and the runaway success of the Wii, Nintendo is in a position where it is sitting on a bunch of great games that hardly any of the Wii audience has played. In order to capitalise on this position, they are re-releasing a bunch of their GameCube games for the Wii under the New Play Control banner, with adjustments made to the games to accommodate the Wii's unique control method. The first title to be released under this line is Pikmin, one of the GameCube's first original IP releases.

This reminds me how I always wanted GameCube titles to be ported to Virtual Console or for Nintendo to do more HD remasters of them on Wii U or handheld versions on 3DS.

Set aside an hour this Saturday, go buy the biggest SD card you can afford (I use a 256gb) and you'll be playing Metroid Prime, Pikmin, F-Zero GX, Paper Mario Thousand Year Door, and many others in HD widescreen with a Wii U Pro controller (or PS4 controller or new X1S controller). Or, if you prefer, with an actual GameCube controller via Smash Adapter.
Just, hold yourself accountable and only run in games you own. That's how we support the devs.

Super Mario Sunshine!!! I REALLY need it. It's the only 3D Mario I don't own. I used to own it but was dumb to sell a decade back. A HD Remake would be even better!
What i think needs to be on the e shop is ALL the virtual console games that the Wii had.. Turbo graphx, neo geo, genesis, & way more offerings from the retro nintendo consoles..

They missed one key one ... Resident Evil IV .... best version was on Wii U with the Wiimote.
I'd kill to see Pandora's Tower get a re-release, especially if it comes with a patch to fix the freezing glitch...

Well I'm state-side, so unless it's announced for the states alongside a proper patch for the game...
They must re-release the first two Pikmim games, although in their GameCube versions, I'm not fan of Wiimotes that much.
Wii remotes made the game a lot more manageable since it was more like having a mouse to control the game with.
Zelda twilight without a doubt needs to come, wiiu needs all the help it can get, this game is much needed in the Eshop.
