The Spanish edition of Eurogamer reviews Resident Evil 5:
"The worst that can happen to a videogame is undoubtedly come preceded by an exaggerated expectation. In our industry we have seen many cases where the final product did not meet expectations after a strong media campaign, or the promises of the developers, causing public discontent and a cold reception from the press. The latest installment of the Resident Evil saga will erect more than likely as a bestseller and will be warmly welcomed by the majority of his followers, but others will be a little disappointed, not by its production values, is clearly excellent but by an apparent stalemate in an outdated formula and make a missed golden opportunity to renew a series that remains dangerously anchored in playable approaches belonging to the past.
