The developers of Excitebots: Trick Racing have explained why they opted not to include trucks in the game.

Racing fans will soon be able to enjoy the Wii classic Excitebots: Trick Racing on the Wii U.
I highly doubt it but i hope this comes out on European stores. We never got this game and it looked awesome.
Its very good game.. it even reminded a bit of older Burnout games..with nitro everything becoming very blurry.. good stuff.. i think its much better than Excitetruck

I bought Excitetrucks expecting it to be a fun racer.What i got was one of the most intensely fun racers i haver ever played.The game truly floored me regards to how much fun it is when you get past the awkward controls.Deep too with much reward for skill
