Xbox Evolved writes: "Everyday I drive through the neighborhood I can always see the Great American Ball Park across the river from Kentucky and a few things come to mind. First I think about how Cincinnati was declared one of the five unhappiest cities to live in this year, which makes sense when thinking of how the Bengals and Reds have been performing lately on top of the city's other problems. Well MLB2K9 isn't helping to represent Cincinnati's troubled team either. Playing a game at the Great American Ball Park it has some pretty key details down, you can even see the Big Mac Bridge crossing from Cincinnati into Newport, KY as you hit a homerun. Safe from the fact that Paul Brown Stadium is mysteriously missing in view thanks to NFL licensing, they managed to recreate it pretty well."

This Week in PlayStation highlights Sony's rich video game heritage which dates back into the 1980's.
Step back in time with us as we put the spotlight on events big and small that have significantly altered the gaming culture."
Hard to believe only ten years ago we were just barely coming into the PlayStation 2 era...I was also only 11 years old HAH!
Direct2Drive is having a great sale on their catalog of 2K Games including BioShock, Sid Meier's Civilization IV, MLB2K9 and more for under $10.
...and you have a decent computer, there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't take advantage of this offer.
10 bucks for one of the best games of all time that STILL looks incredible? Wow.

"If you're a die-hard, non-PS3 owning baseball fan, this is going to be your only option for the sport this year anyway. Hopefully a patch will fix the numerous issues, and if they are, you'll be getting a decent yet flawed MLB experience. With the 360 market to themselves however, MLB fans deserve better from 2K."
