The Playstation 3 had it rough in 2006 and 2007. It's launch releases were nothing to brag about and although things progressed in 2007, Microsoft's 360 ruled the land with a massive amount of exclusives such as Mass Effect, Bioshock, and Halo 3. 2008 though? Things started to get warmer, with the both systems having respectable exclusives with MGS4 and LBP leading the way on the PS3 and Gears of War 2 and Fable 2 on the 360, so it was pretty much split down the middle. But things are changing this year. The Playstation 3 guy has done his research and has come to this conclusion: 2009 WILL be the year of the Playstation 3 exclusive. The Playstation 3 Guy wants to introduce to you 'The PS3 7'. The 7 PS3-exclusives that will be MUST OWN titles in 09 and will prove why the PS3 is the place to game in 2009.
Sucker Punch rejuvenated the superhero genre with Infamous, a series that focused on the pure fun of wielding destructive powers.
Atleast release a remaster trilogy or something to gage interest. I'd buy it. With that said I'm pretty over superheroes at this point. Infamous is still dope as fk though so it'd be a buy
I agree but games take 4-6 years to make so who knows when they would do it? After Ghost of Tsushima2? They could have something else in the world as well in early production who knows.
It's a shame Sucker Punch finally figured out a good open world formula only while making Ghost of Tsushima. Infamous 1 and 2 were great for their time, but Second son felt too much like a checklist in It's design. I love the hell out of all 3 games (2 and 3 are just so damn good, while 1 shows it's age and the ps3 struggles), but I would love to see how they would do another infamous with all they have learned. Wouldn't hurt to release a remastered collection either.
This series, days gone, will continue to get ignored by sony, luckily we still have the horizon series, sly cooper not getting pushed anymore, speaking of that I'm bout to get on my ps2 and play some sly 2 anyways lol, but seriously I never woulda thought back then sony would ever cold shoulder most of their franchises I'm actually surprised they're still letting ratchet&clank be around

The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
I played killzone 3 in 3d and it really changed the game per being immersive.
In vr, that would be even more awesome.
Funny you mention that... my son wanted to play some PS3 games in 3d on my PS tv and he was blown away by how good KZ3 was. It really was a great addition to the game. Im surprised there have not been more 3d games from that era being ported to the PSVR/VR2.

There was a psvr1 Killzone project that supermassive was working on at one stage which wasn't up to scratch and Sony brand it back in house I was hoping we would see that on psvr2 eventually.
Personally I'd love to see some more love or acknowledgement of psvr2 from Sony in general it was a expensive headset and Sony barely acknowledge it's existence
The amount of work needed to remaster these games wouldn't be beneficial on a financial and business sense.. MGS4 would probably be the best bet as it would need the least amount of work!

Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱
all I can say that kz'2 online mp is one of the finest ever,nothing feels better than killing 3 players with 1 grenade and hear that super satesfying sound "TTZZZ"

Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, White Knight Chronicles, Uncharted 2, inFamous, and Ratchet are all must haves for me. Not to mention all the cool PSN games.
I predict that Uncharted 2 will be one of Sony's stronger AAA Christmas rush pushes.
