Assassin's Creed is coming to the Xbox 360

Assassin's Creed is coming to the Xbox 360. It's one of those secrets no one is supposed to know about (like Halo: Forerunners) yet everyone does. Sources close to Ubisoft have informed 1up that the game will definitely see release on Microsoft's platform -- even though the company still refuses to admit the game's inevitable multiplatform fate.

It was at E3 at the Sony booth on a 360 dev... Anyway this is great news this game looks like a good 1. I bet it is being developed on the 360 dev kit right now anyway and then is going to be ported to the ps3!!

This has to be the worst kept "secret" in the last 6 months...

I don't know how long until the game comes out, but the videos shown on whatever system it was running seemed pretty cool. The problem I had was controling the player from some of those camera angles shown may make a beautiful game unplayable at times. I think we all tend to forget that the niftiest videos and trailers don't mean squat if the final release gameplay and camera angles are screwed up...

Either way, nice to see the "secret" is out...<bracing for the onslaught of fanboys to dispute this and start blathering on about MGS4 and DMC, blah. blah, blah>

It shouldn't be a surpris to people. Many games were ran on the 360 as in much of them will be on multi platforms. And Most games will be ported from the 360 to the ps3. 360 has much more power and ease of use with the 360. When my friend told me it was running on a 360...I knew Microsoft wouldn't allow that UNLESS it was also coming to the 360. I was right.

They have not confirmed it will come out on the 360 at the same time ofm the PS3 it might be a little later =.

We all n=knew it was going to happen but it will not stop people from getting a PS3 and I was a reporter at E3 and it was not on a 360 but a PS3 beta kit. So no more lies on that.
On the other hand if you think that will stop fanboys think again it is still on the PS3 if i am right and thier are pleny of games on the PLaystation roster that has consumer interest.

Do you know that microsoft could have purchased the GTA series. When xbox 1 was in development rockstar presented GTA 3 to microsoft and offered to sell lifetime exclusive rights to the GTA series. Boy was that microsoft's biggest mistake turning that down. J allard and the others said that the GTA game had a lot of controvesy surrounding it like with the hookers, violence that they didn't want that image for their new console since they wanted there games to be a family centered thing. Then GTA 3 went to sony, then for vice city rockstar gave the same offer and microsoft had the same offer that they didn't want the bad press. For san andreas sony had the deal already signed. After the intial couple years of the xbox 1 microsoft decided to get the gta series but rockstar was under a contract with sony. So they made a deal that allowed GTA 3 and vice city to released on xbox then san andreas to be released 6 months after ps2 release. Now with the xbox 360 microsoft has a history of consoles and bad press from the gta game would have little impact on the xbox 360 since people are familiar with the xbox and according to survey's the biggest selling point of the ps2 was the gta series. Gamers didn't care what system had it. So now if you didn't know anything about gaming and all you wanted was GTA 4, which system would you buy the xbox 360 or ps3. Factors to consider the visuals are identical and the xbox 360 would cost $200 less.

I son;t think u get what I am saying. First They never ever confirmed that the game was running on the 360 and you know that. But the fact that it is coming out on the 360 is not a shock. It is something i would expect from UBISOFT. Another thing the games of the PS3 won't be 70 dollars the BLue- ray dics are the same price as dvd's so it will be 59.99.

I have a 360 and plan to get a PS3. If you think I am a Sony fan due to my name I am not I like Sony just as much as MS but the name sounded better.

Blu ray format has nothing to do with the price of the games. Its the fact that making a game for the ps3 cost 1/3rd more than the xbox 360. Thats why there are reports going around the industry that the first party games will be 59.99 and 3rd party games being 69.99. Its not etched in stone. But its very likely.

MAN--- the PS3 fans have to wait FIVE MORE MONTHS until Nov (IF they could get one then) for hi-def next-gen gaming... Meanwhile, I'll be playing Over-G, NCAA, Madden, Gears, LOTRBFME2, etc., and Assassins when it comes out, battling it out on Live (already works, not a "new" network). On Assassins, does anyone else find it curious that what I saw in the trailer appeared to be CGI instead of in-game footage? I'm sure it will rock, but the cool scene of him leaping and sticking the target with his sleeve-dagger -- looks CGI! Go M$!!!!!

Well, all Sony footage is always CGI. THat´s the way they do it. Say it´s ingame and afterwards it is dissapointing.

Look at the ToyStory debacle at the PS2.
See that the same games on PS2 and XBOX on the last one looked the most sharp and crispy in graphics. Sony´s always hyping on non real CGI footage.

As they did with Motorstorm (compare 2005 E3 material with the footage we see now... man that´s a difference!!!) and Killzone 2 (nowhere to be seen again after impossible CGI footage E3 2005. Oh yeah it is in Gears of War only on 360 ingame)

Ok....Well, I was at Church last Sunday and some how this guy had brought up Halo while we were outside afterward. He had mentioned he was a level 30 at team slayer and I'm a level 32 so I asked him what is his screen name. He told me and when I got home I added him to my buddy list. So i'm playing Oblivion and a message pops up telling me that the friend I had just met at church just got online. I press the guide button while i'm playing oblivion and send him a messasge to invite him to play Halo 2. He accepts the invite and within a change of the disc we were playing together on the same team. It was so fun. To just meet someone and then being playing a game and chatting with him via the head set. It made me realize just how far gaming has come. Thanks to Microsoft. We kicked some butt. We won 8 straight matches and we finally lost one but it was a blast. Soon with live anywhere...I could have added him via my cell phone while I was there. Kinda like when you meet someone and exchange phone numbers. You can see an old friend out at the mall and add eachother to your xbox live friends list on the spot via your cell phone. I have a son who is in 3rd grade and his basketball team just won the championship through boys and girls club. At the last game he and one of his friends on the team mentioned that its summer time and that he will be playing 360 all summer. My son then asked him if he plays Halo 2. Of course he said yes. well my son and him exchanged xboxlive screen names and they have been playing all day together. He really enjoys the fact that his buddy from the basketball team and him are kicking butt on halo 2 together. I normally wouldn't admitt this but he is in 3rd grade and he is a higher level than me. He is level 36 team slayer. Well anyway...thats my story and I just think its too cool and too fun. Thanks Microsoft. Good job for making online play easy and fun. Now lets get those x box vision camera's. I can't wait.

I know this is a little off topic but I just want to comment on #28 TheRealDeal's post....I think every true game fan should appreciate what M$ has done for online videogames because with all the technology and gadgets we have these days its easy to overlook what a great service M$ has created. Sony will have to step up big time to compete with XboxLive and competition will only make things better and better for all gamers. Now before I go I just want to say thanks to those who liked My List from post #21, I've been playing games for the last 20+ yrs. so I like to think that I know good games when I see them....and honestly I think that my tastes are pretty mainstream for the most part, so I'm sure that most gamers list would look close to what I have or maybe even the same.

You know what...I'd love to say PS3 will only be as popular as Blu-Ray will be...but that isn't true, and I'd love to say it's to highly priced to appeal to a regular consumer, which it is but we all know everyone will get it simply cause it's shiny and says "SONY"... They've dropped the ball big time on this one, sony continues to shoot it's self in the foot repeatedly with their comments all contradicting what the other execs are saying. They have made some bad business decisions, but you know what the sad thing is their are people who don't see what they do, know what their doing or care about what their being forced to make a standard and that alone is the reason why the ps3 will win, which is just a shame, if people were more informed and knew what we know when it comes to Sony, their would be a much different outcome with these game machines, because ingenuity and creativity should win out, because their videogames remember, not damn movie players, their game machines, Nintendo is the one who should win, they deserve it, they're the only ones with that ingenuity and creativity, not Microsoft...Not Sony... Microsoft get's the nod for listening to consumers and giving them on-line gaming and the arcade and the demos but in the end all these two are doing is slapping a bigger processor and graphics card in a box, (and a non-standard movie player) giving you a wireless controller and selling it for twice of the last generation. It's a shame what we, me included will buy from these two companies, I remember Nintendo, simply Nintendo, when it used to be fun, when it wasn't confusing for a consumer, when a videogame was a videogame, don't get me wrong I love the new graphics, gameplay, and new features, their cool but hardly necessary...but in the end their just selling you specs, they're handing you a box with no ingenuity, no creativity involved just a box showing you how big your graphics card is, your GPU, and how it's going to be so life-like you'll be in aww of it, I'm not sure where the road changed but I would rather seeing these other two companies sitting down and saying "How can we make videogames fun with these new machines" rather than sitting down and saying "How can we make these machines more profitable" I'm not sure about any of you but Mario anyday will always be the most amazing game ever created...because it was innovative and I can personally say I get more from 5 minutes of Mario than I could ever get from any videogame in the past 10 years...k sorry for the rant...PEACE

assassins creed also on the 360 dosnt change much. Sure its a game that i will for sure invest in but the other games im hyped for are MGS4, Killzone, Brothers in arms, Ranibow 6 vegas, resistance fall of man, Unral Tourney, Heavenly sword, Mercenaries 2. ALl the other games i want are multiplatform cept for Halo, gears of war and one or two more but thats something i can wait for till i finally invest in a 360 probably next spring. I wiil get both systems and the wii but i will invest all my multiplatforms on PS3 and basically keep my 360 for exclusives only. Madden on 360 or PS3? im gonna have to chose PS3 there
