Andrew, one of the official staff members at EA was able to get the time to contact the producer of Need For Speed World Online and get some of the community's most asked questions, answered. The Q&A is as follows.
For almost two months the Need for Speed World community has been waiting for the Porsche Carrera GT to be released in Need for Speed World. The wait is finally over and the GT will be available on Thursday, September 27th.
The Porsche Carrera GT is a mid-engine monster with 612 horsepower and 435 lb•ft produced by a 5.7 liter V10 engine. It can hit 60 MPH in just 3.6 seconds, 100 MPH in 7.3 seconds and achieve speeds over 220 MPH! Its development can be traced all the way back to the 911 GT1 and LMP1-98 racing cars. An interesting fact about the Carrera GT is that it was originally supposed to be built using a Flat-6 engine but was later redesigned for their new V10. All Carrera GT's are were built at Porsche's manufacturing facility in Leipzig and by the end of their run a total of 1,270 of them were built

Seriously, im never playing this game till they have a massive HD update, or release a HD mod or something.
This looks very promising. Glad to see them making it a world wide thing...cant wait to get onto the race field and meet up with peeps around the world.
*sigh* lets just hope this doesn't turn out to be a flop. EA always says theirs games are gonna be epic...thats until we try them out :/
