Overall for fans of the anime, Afro Samurai is a good game that hits on so many great touch points from the series. For the general gamer they get a game that does not rely upon knowing the anime. The style is unique, the story and music is outstanding and the game play, while having a few faults, is fun and entertaining. It’s sad that these few game play issues keep Afro Samurai from dark horse game of the year status, but that’s what Afro Samurai: Resurrection the video game will be all about right Surge?
