Only Half Pay to Play on Xbox Live

According to an internal Microsoft document reviewed by the Seattle P-I, about more than half of the Xbox 360 users who use the online service are actually gold members the rest have free silver accounts.

The Xbox 360 team regularly releases figures showing how popular Xbox Live is, but they have always declined to break down exactly how many pay to use it.
