IGN: Friday the 13th: The Videogame Wishlist

When Friday the 13th first made its way onto the silver screen in 1980, there was no hockey mask, no cheesy one-liners and no bad acting from Kelly Rowland. Heck, Jason wasn’t even in the movie; it was his mother killing those horny camp counselors. But things certainly evolved through the course of nearly 30 years and what is now 13 films thanks to the newly released Jerry Bruckheimer creation. But why haven’t people seen a videogame (mobile games excluded) rendition since LJN’s Friday the 13th on NES? Just imagine the amount of hemoglobin that the current generation of hardware can generate. The possibilities are endless.

In the spirit of the pseudo-horror-holiday and the release of the sure-to-be-terrible film, IGN has put together a list of videogame ideas that they would like to see in a new Friday the 13th should one get the green light.
