GTA To Appear On PSN Store

Mark this as a rumour just now but we've got a sneaky feeling that Sony might just have a trick up their sleeve with today's PSN Store: the PSP versions of Grand Theft Auto.

if this happens, there is something more important than this going on!

PS2 games on PSN = PS2 emulation for all!!

Cajun Chicken5543d ago

Uh, this is the PSP titles. But it would be another ace if they also released Grand Theft Auto, GTA:London and GTA2.
I'd love to have GTA2 on my PSP.

HighDefinition5543d ago

They should put GTA:SA up as a D/L title.

PS2 games would be great for them to have up a D/L titles.

PSP cool, PS2 would be waaaaay better.

Kushan5543d ago

I believe one of the PS2 singstar games works on all PS3s.

HighDefinition5543d ago

Almost all PS2 games work on my PS3. 60gb FTW.

I own GTA:SA on PS2, I want it as a D/L

n4gn4gn4gn4g5543d ago

Then you would be wrong.

PS2 Singstar DATA can be read by all PS3 if you have SingStar PS3 running.

You CAN'T play PS2 SingStar on nonBC PS3s natively.

Cheers.

xwabbit5543d ago

Its obvious that Sony has an emulator for PS2 done already but they wont release it till they stop manufacturing PS2's.

Ahmay5543d ago

there is a ps2 system thing on psn... i have a sorry 40gig. it says its not for the 40 gig models... wounder what it does... has anyone ever checked it out?

Cicinho5543d ago

GTA San Andreas is already on Xbox live.

xwabbit5543d ago

Its for the Consoles with b/c already(20-60GB models and the Motorstorm and mgs4 bundles)

PS360WII5543d ago

I wouldn't see why not as there is a GTA for grabs on Live in the xbox original section.

Pennywise5543d ago

If your comment had anything to do with this article it would probably be a valid statement.

PS360WII5543d ago

Well it does. I'm just saying that Rockstar already put out their games in downloadable fashion I don't see why they wouldn't continue on that path. Sorry for bringing up Live I guess

Mindboggle5543d ago

Yeh its annoying when people dont read the articles just the headlines.

LeonSKennedy4Life5543d ago

What's wrong with his statement?

It's already out on the 360...

...why not pressure Sony into getting PS2 titles on there?

ViceKingz5543d ago

because they're talking about the PSP GTA titles to appear on PSN

GiantEnemyCrab5543d ago

Well that still makes his point relevant. R* are obviously moving to put a lot of their past GTA titles be it console or handheld on the download services.

I'm surprised PSN doesn't have the console GTA games like XBL has yet.

Bnet3435543d ago

Pennywise PS360Wii's comment is relevant to the article in a way. If they can release GTA SA on Xbox Live Originals there's no reason for them not to release it on PSN. It makes no sense.

Got a newsletter that said this just two days ago. They have updated the story too.

Vice City stories is great portable gaming fun...

Arkham5543d ago

That's great. Another reason move that 4GB card from our camera to the PSP. :) I'd love to have both of those available at anytime. Hopefully they won't be more than $15-20

theEnemy5543d ago

Go buy an 8 or 16GB man, it's worth it.

Unless if you got UMD games :D

Arkham5543d ago

Hell yeah, believe me I know. I've been aching for a 16 or 32GB for a while now. But I'll probably pick up an 8GB soon to tide me over, since they're about $40-50 CDN around here. I missed the Boxing Day sales this year, but I'll put up with 8GB for a while. :)

LeonSKennedy4Life5543d ago

I honestly didn't have any fun with GTAIII, VC, SA, or either of the PSP games. I've tried them all. There's nothing fun about them. The missions are never fun, the storylines are shallow, and blowing stuff up isn't really all that satisfying. I did, however, like GTAIV. It had a good storyline.

silvacrest5543d ago

but many loved vice city and san andreas and would love this rumor to be true

Tales Of Graces Ƒ Retro Review – Holding Out For a Hero

Gary Green said: Namco Bandai heard the call of many fans asking for the PlayStation release of Tales of Graces which was originally released seemingly exclusively for the Wii back in 2009. If you’re acquainted with the Tales series then Graces f won’t be something entirely new to you, yet if you’re a newcomer then you’ll find a plethora of gameplay mechanics and nuances that distinguish this series from other JRPGs. While the game finds itself following the traditional archetype of JRPGs, such as a somewhat clichéd story, Graces has something to offer to both veterans and newcomers alike.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil3d ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai3d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing692d ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle2d ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa2d ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

*As per Wikipedia

boing12d ago (Edited 2d ago )

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
