Lens of Truth writes; "We go in-depth and get to the bottom on which version of Bioshock you should be playing in this Head2Head. Wow, that was deep. A boat load of more puns inside."
Learn where you can get BioShock Remastered for free and enjoy playing it on your devices, including the Steam Deck.
Console Creatures writes, "The BioShock film at Netflix is still happening but with a reduced budget."
It's 10 years too late for a BioShock film. The world of Rapture would have been perfect for a film. It's actually a good candidate for proper utilization of 3D, for increased depth rather than bullshit popping out of the screen. It could really show off the underwater city that way. But BioShock as a brand is so irrelevant these days that a film just doesn't make sense. Especially considering it would need a big budget and top notch effects to really take advantage of the IP.
Netflix greenlights anything, so that shows me very little faith in the project. Enough to just crap something out as they're, more and more, known to do.
I'll laugh if it turns out to be better then the Borderlands movie
2K Cloud Chamber is ramping up recruitment with 30 job offers on its BioShock team. There's still no word on when the game will launch, though.
Actually looking forward to playing "Judas" from.Ken Levines development team .
Stupid Article.
Pc Version trumps all. BTW it leaves out Extra content in the final analysis and the comparisons look shoddy to me. Maybe it's true or maybe it's pre patch screens. Either way it's a lame article.
Once upon a time, there was Killzone 2.
The End

Was the first time we went thru this so popular we need to do it again?
I think it's safe to say whatever version you get is going to be good. I played the demo on PS3 after many play thrus on the 360 and it looks so close to identical you won't notice a difference.
The days of the multiplatform games being completely crap on the PS3 were over the first year. Yes, there might be some games that look or perform better on the 360(or vice versa) the difference is so small it's not worth arguing over anymore. For multiconsole owners there are bigger things to consider when choosing which platform like online service or exclusive DLC. Why do you think MS is working hard on the exclusive DLC front.
Hmmm, I think I played this game...way back in 2007.
I don't see any problems with this article.
The 360 version does look slightly better and having played Bioshock on both consoles (yes I own both) I can say the 360 does seem to have a smoother framerate.
HOWEVER, this is to be expected, NOT because the 360 is more powerful or anything like that. Bioshock was originally created with the 360 as its primary platform and ported to PC. It was optimised for 360, and as a result looks and plays great.
The ps3 version is a port, and running on the Unreal Engine 3 which is known to have issues with the ps3 due to its focus on GPU rendering rather than the ps3's strength in its CPU.
This doesn't mean the ps3 has worse graphics than the 360, it just means this game running on this engine isn't quite as successful. Killzone 2 looks amazing on ps3 because it was developed for ps3, Bioshock looks amazing on 360 because it was developed for 360 and later ported to ps3 with an engine that was never optimised for ps3 use.
I appreciate these articles because I own both consoles and when great third-party games are released I like to get the version that looks the best or has a smoother framerate. For multiplatform games it has NOTHING to do with the overall power of either console, it's just a matter of which was used as the primary console during development and what engine is being used since some focus on CPU (best for ps3) and some focus on GPU (best for 360).
Either way, you get a great game.
