IGN: Jungle Speed Review

If you're looking for a fun multiplayer game on Wii, Jungle Speed is a great choice. It's pricey by WiiWare standards -- 1,000 Wii Points feels like a lot to shell out for a glorified card game -- but it's still cheaper than any retail release. And IGN guarantees you that you'll have more fun with this title than you will any number of second-rate mini-game fests that sell for $20 or even $30 more. The production values are a cut above most WiiWare games and the multiplayer mode is truly addictive with three or more people. Just don't get it if you're playing alone.

New Video Game Releases: Jan. 16 – Jan. 22

Ripten: The desolate winter season of new releases continues with such a sparse release week that if I were to not include DLC, would only have a total of three measly releases.

MyWii: Jungle Speed Review

MyWii writes: "Jungle Speed is a card game all about being the first player to get rid of all your cards and having quick reflexes. In many ways it's similar to a game of Uno, with a relatively simple set of rules.

Each player begins with a pile of facedown cards which feature unique designs. Going around the table the "A" button is used to flip the cards face up, when two players flip up cards that match a duel begins between them. These players must swing the Wii Remote to grab the wooden totem statue in the middle of the table, the first to do so wins and gives all of their cards that have been used (flipped face up) to the loser."

GamesRadar: Jungle Speed Review

It's good, hectic fun if there's a group of you playing and has that unquantifiable 'just one more go' quality. Predictably, it's less fun if you play alone against the AI. The presentation is bright and friendly without being spectacular, and NGamer likes the animal avatars, especially the blue rhino, who they think might be Rocksteady moonlighting from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
