Well look at that, huh? Last of Us, God of War, Horizon, and Spider-Man were beat out. Maybe if you’re all concerned about money, perhaps there is something to this whole “sex sells” concept.

ravens5214d ago

Kratos in a speedo 🤔. Lol

Inverno14d ago

Honestly there weren't enough armour sets showing off his muscular bod.

OhReginald14d ago

All those games you mentioned didn't release in the 100+ blocked regions. Maybe that something to do with it than...sex sells...hmm

CrimsonWing6914d ago

What’s the percentage of sales those 100+ blocked regions contribute… hmmm?

got_dam14d ago

Sex does sell. It's a fact. No matter how much the media and a vocal minority try to convince people that we should be ashamed of our natural urges.

Vits14d ago

Yeah, they actually did. Sony only started blocking games after the whole Helldivers 2 situation.

From what I’ve heard from friends who got it on PC, the gameplay felt fresh compared to Sony’s usual committee-approved stuff. Though, two female friends were a bit uncomfortable with some of the costumes, but they kept playing, so I’m guessing that the rest of the game being pretty solid was enough to ignore that part.

Sonic188114d ago

Sex sells with good gameplay 😂

gurp14d ago

I played the game on PS5 when it came out, and I just started a new play through on PC
the PC just hits a little 'harder'

tay870114d ago

It's a playstation title, just like death stranding 2 and lost soul aside.

Vits13d ago

How do you even define a "PlayStation title"?

This game wasn’t made by a PlayStation studio, Sony doesn’t own the IP, and it definitely wasn’t created by their “let’s make sure every simpleton can play it” committee like most of Sony’s usual stuff. They just published it, same to DS2 and same to Lost Soul Aside.

Stellar Blade Review (PC) | NoobFeed

Zahra from NoobFeed writes- In an era of risk-averse AAA development, Stellar Blade dares to embrace style, difficulty, and identity in equal measure. It delivers everything a premium title should for action RPG fans. And for SHIFT UP Corporation, they established the studio not as a curious newcomer but as a rising force in the genre. A dazzling hack-and-slash reinvention that shines brighter on PC.

The 3060 RTX Phoenix is still $430.

anast7d ago

Yes, they are. It's probably why their PC runs this game so well...

edureboucas8d ago

Yes it is, do you want me to send you my dxdiag, sir?

DeityGamingPower5d ago

The RTX 3060 released in 2021. Go back to middle school. What a dumb article.

anast7d ago

Exactly, the only thing 9 years old on that set up is probably the case.

Not shocking it was announce as a multiplatform game before Sony threw money at them.

I thankful for PearlAbyss(korean dev) rejected sony cash for CrimsonDesert, so everyone can enjoy their game.

neutralgamer199210d ago

They rejected their money so much yet they allowed them to publish the game on steam?

Please it's the year 2025 enjoy gaming without becoming attached to a box

VenomUK10d ago

‘PS5’s Stellar Blade is reportedly coming to Nintendo Switch 2’

And Xbox?

NotoriousWhiz9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

Xbox maybe 2 or 3 years after they release on Switch 2 when they can collect some game pass money cause no one on Xbox will be buying it. We see what happened with FF16.

CrashMania9d ago

They helped a lot with development to shape the game it became, it's not your typical MS throw money at the wall and hope it sticks type of deal that usually doesn't work out.

The fact it isn't being considered for Xbox should tell you all you need to know.

10d ago
Elda10d ago

It's a Shift Up game so they can put it wherever they want once the PS5 exclusivity is up.

darthv7210d ago

....like xbox, you know since it was first announced that way.

Elda9d ago

Sony spent money & got first dibs, maybe XB should have leaped first or is it possible that had no interest.

CantThinkOfAUsername9d ago

PlayStation is still the publisher of the game on PC.

ABizzel110d ago

Makes sense, a Nintendo release will help with sales in JP and at worse add a few hundred thousand sales globally.

720p@60fps medium-low upscaled to 1440p DLSS docked
&
540p@60fps medium-low upscaled to 1080p DLSS handheld

Should be possible without any issues.

Notsofast10d ago

probably get the game to 5-6 million copies sold if its on the switch 2

andy8510d ago

Given the steam version is already in the millions the switch 2 version should easily do that

Profchaos10d ago

Dlss is magic after playing street fighter 6 on switch 2 it's impressive

fsfsxii9d ago

Impressive input lag you mean

Profchaos9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

@fsfsxli they have approved sf6 on switch 2 for competitions if the input lag was actually a problem they would not have approved it

Hereandthere10d ago

Good, another 3rd party game sony paid to keep xbox players from playing. Lets hope the xbox port is not far off after switch.

Scissorman10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

this partnership was so much more than sony paying to keep xbox players from playing it:

https://twistedvoxel.com/st...

the game wouldn't have become what it is today without sony's support.

darthv7210d ago

you know... we have been told that before, plenty of times. That excuse does not work anymore.

BLow9d ago (Edited 9d ago )

Don't worry the delusion is real with these fanboys. Not one person is this comment section mentioned that Tencent bought a 20% stake in Shift Up. Where's the outrage in that? Sony pays for and funds a game to be exclusive and to help develop. Bring out the pitch forks.

MS buys 2 publishers, one of them being the biggest in the industry, crickets. The math ain't mathin. Shift Up is a 3rd party company and they can do what they want. It's always been that way. I have no sympathy for the richest company in the world.

No disagrees from me. There is no point lol.

tay87019d ago (Edited 9d ago )

After the pathetic sales of FF16 on xbox, shift up probably isnt all that keen on making a port for xbox.
