Death stranding 2 is the only game for me.
Can’t wait

Not trying to be hateful at all, but can someone explain how they found the first game enjoyable? The story was an absolute mess, there was an overwhelming amount of product placement, and the gameplay was boring and repetitive. I loved every Kojima game before this one, but I couldn't get more than 10 hours out of DS before I had to quit.

1. I never understood the problem with product placement. I think it’s more weird not seeing an actual product from the real world when the game is set in the real world. As long as it’s not forcibly trying to sell you it then I’m cool with it, but I get your point.

2. I have no real answer for you why people like it. I was on the same boat tbh. Played on the ps4 and I thought it was alright. I didn’t get far.
But then one day I decided to play it again on the ps5 and it just clicked.

It’s kind of like beer.
The first time I drank it I thought it was straight ass and then all of a sudden out of no where, it just clicked and I now I like it.
Try it again and see what happens.

@pwnmaster
fair answer, thanks for being civil. I appreciate the advice.

For me the atmosphere, the sense of loneliness, struggle and the small connections you were making during the struggle in a lonely dying world. I like some David Lynch stuff and Kojima has some of that strange flavor. We all perceive things differently, so to each their own.

I have been slowly working my way through DS for almost 1 year (11 months to be exact). It took me 10 months and 3 weeks to complete 4 chapters; it just wasn't really hooking me the way people had described. But in the last week, I have really enjoyed it and have completed 6 more chapters, completing chapter 10 last night. Can't wait to finish it and get ready for the 2nd game. It has finally clicked and I am loving it. Glad I stuck with it but it wasn't easy to get there haha.
