Why can’t these come out for console? Like, I saw Ever Crisis also came out on Steam… so why are consoles ignored?

PapaBop22d ago

Honestly, you're missing nothing.

SDuck21d ago

yeah, Ever Crisis was trash

FinalFantasyFanatic22d ago

I really think Ever Crisis should have been a console game and an alternative to FF7R, just use low poly for everything.

I remember when the Persona series was gritty, horror oriented and, well, not this. It's unrecognizable these days. "But at least it sells mOrE!!" Pity.

gold_drake10d ago

well i mean, its always been more pop culture than horror.

it definitely started with 3 and was in full effect with 4 and mastered with 5.

even 1 and 2 werent all that dark, but definitely more thats true

What you’re remembering is Shin Megami Tensei: Persona, back when it was still connected to Shin Megami Tensei in any meaningful way. That version is long gone, has been for decades.

The Persona series we have today (more like for the past 20 years) is its own thing entirely. Different gameplay, different vibe, different themes. It's about stylish high school drama, friendships, calendar management, and flashy battles. It doesn’t play like SMT, it doesn’t feel like SMT, and honestly, it barely has anything to do with it anymore.

At this point, Persona is Persona. If you want something closer to the old-school feel, just play Shin Megami Tensei. For the most part it has stuck to the original tone and gameplay. SMT V in particular feels very close to what a modern Shin Megami Tensei: Persona would feel like.

one can only hope that its the last persona spin off.
