One is a PS3/360 game and is still considered a "remaster" for this release. One is a current gen game that was in development for 6+ years and with a massive budget and was hailed as the "game of the generation" before it was released. They are NOT the same and expectations are obviously far different. Pointless whinging here.

I don't agree. I think Bethesda is taking advantage of the nostalgia for it titles when it releases games that are poorly optimized to this level.

I don't know.

I think folks are more than happy with a shadow drop remaster that's actually features all new assets and some modern QOL improvements for what some consider one of the best RPG's of the era.

It also opens the door to a lot of gamers who never played oblivion, and a lot of people who wanted to play it again but were turned off by the really aged visuals. Dropping into the OG is a shock considering how amazing we thought the graphics were at the time.

Oblivion is a PS3/360 era game.

Starfield feels like a PS3/360 era game, in the worst possible way.

One has jank but overall an interesting world to explore. Starfields biggest flaw was being massive and hollow.

Remaster of a game that came out in 2006 versus a fully priced modern 2024 release that was a console exclusive.

That’s copium because it came out on PC as well and everyone says the same negative issues that console users had.
