Well, we see where Nintendo is interested in revolution - shareholder profits! It's secret? A bold, new direction of "pricing a game higher than any other game on any other platform".

Still can't believe that of all the companies, the one with the comparably lowest development budgets per title are the ones leading the charge on game price increases.

Nothing new to see here, just a fan of Nintendo being incredibly disappointed in just about everything surrounding this system. Kinda hard not to feel like after Iwata passed - a developer, a man with a passion for games, a man with empathy - that it's just been a slow, painful drift towards the place we find ourselves today.

I'd like to know how it supposedly took 8 years to make this when the open free roaming mode looks so empty, unless they're purposely not showing where the content/missions are..

Really how is driving around empty land going to be exciting? I find that so boring, I get some may like it but.. if there's hardly anything to do then why bother.

I saw a youtube video that there's platforming missions you can find throughout the map.

"Pushing boundaries" seems like a stretch.

LOL

The only boundaries it's going to push are the boundaries of the series itself. nothing more

'For software, in addition to the same factors, the price is decided by considering factors such as increased costs due to increased game capacity and longer development periods.'

Hmm, why not use key cards then if they're good enough for third parties?

“Longer development periods”

LIES!

This would be true if the Switch 2 was a current generation console and outputting graphic fidelity of current gen, but it’s barely better then a PS4.

If they are saying that their games take as long to develop then high end current gen games, then that is a complete lie. Typical PR spin.

Just call it what it is - Greed.

When did the last new Mario kart title actually release?

CrimsonWing6915d ago (Edited 15d ago )

Yea, nothing you said justifies the price hike. Variable pricing already shows you’re “testing” it with popular titles until the sheep give in and you make it the standard you greedy pig.

ravens5215d ago

Whats worse than the greedy pig IS the sheep though.

CrimsonWing6915d ago

You’re right and that’s the thing I wish could be prevented. Like, if they didn’t give in, companies would quickly adjust for the market.

For me, I’m just limiting myself to a game a month and waiting for sales on everything else. It sucks, but I’m making my stand with this industry. Otherwise a year from now $100 will be the standard for games.

It's the president of Nintendo's job to lie. What is not said or avoided is the truth.

heres the translation

"the next Zelda, pokemon Mario, Smash, Animal Crossing and other games will be outrageously overpirced, regardless of glitches, how they look, how they play, how outdated they look, how ridiculously bad the voicechat functions"
