Yeah. Some games are great when you play them as a kid but going back to them as an adult can be a rude awakening. This is one of those games.

I'd give it a 8. You know what you're in for a remake of a PS1/ Saturn game done with some of the best visual customisation ice seen.
It's not emulation it's a remake so there's no rewind or other emulation features but I think the game benifits from it.
The metacritic for this one is also at 8 I'd call this a outlier review
In a sea of unnecessary remasters, Croc is a breath of fresh air and a game that actually warrants a remaster. We had so much fun going back to this classic game. It’s been the most fun we had in a while and is easy to just pick up and play.
They have given Croc the Thumb Culture Platinum Award because they had fun every second they played. We think the flashing gems need adjusting by the devs to make the game easier on the eyes. Aside from that, this game was perfect. It deserves nothing less than the platinum because it clearly isn’t planning on giving us one!

The most egregious issue is that actual platforming present in the game.
The music sounds good in Croc: Legend of the Gobbos sounds decent, though can get repetitive and annoying if you’re hearing the same tune for the umpteenth time.

I grew up with the original I know it back to front this takes everything in that game modernise it's controls and delivers an excellent game
