Silent Hill f Has Good News for PS5 Pro Owners

Silent Hill f will be getting some upgrades on PS5 Pro, which could enhance graphical fidelity, FPS rates, and other performance traits.

Between more games making actual use of the hardware and further discounts, the PS5 Pro might end up being a good deal, at least in my region. Right now, it's already 20% off MSRP. If it gets another 10% or 15% off in the next few months, it'll be a pretty solid purchase.

I was never interested in a mid-gen refresh, but I must say, the Pro is calling out to me. I've seen what it can do with games like FF7:Rebirth and AC:Shadows. I imagine games like Death Stranding 2 and Ghost of Yotei will also be optimized for Pro. I may just have to take the plunge.

Definitely a weird situation since mid-gen refreshes have always made a lot of sense until the PS5 Pro showed up. The PS4 Pro and One X were amazing pieces of hardware, especially because they didn’t cost more than the base consoles original MSRP. Even older refreshes like the New 3DS and 2DS kept prices close to the originals while still offering solid upgrades.

This time though, Sony decided to mess with the formula. The PS5 Pro is way more expensive than the base model and somehow still isn’t even complete out of the box. So that being the first mid-gen refresh to call for you, is rather sad.

Well at least can still import it, since the PS5 is region free. It's a great country to live in, it's just our Government is a complete joke.

All games coming to PS5 will have a Pro version. Now that it’s been out for some time it seems devs are using it better which is natural and should should continue to improve

I would love to upgrade to Pro.
The only problem is that in my country it's still being sold slightly above MSRP.

This shouldn't be news, all newer games will take advantage of it either natively or with an enhanced setting and this will only grow in 2026 and 2027 and within 1st party Sony games. People mock early adopters but if you have it for long term you will be okay. If my PS5 died I'd get a Pro to replace it at this point.

Just for how much snappier games like Space Marine 2 etc feel on the pro, its already worth it but I hear more and more great news like this. If a couple hundred extra bucks gets you that... its worth it. Some people forget it also has a 2TB SSD in it (with room to expand like a normal PS5) - def worth the money.
