Scott Burke of The Koalition writes: Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered brings classic Lara Croft adventures to modern platforms, but while the visual enhancements are commendable, the overall experience feels stuck in the past.
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered blends nostalgia with enhanced visuals and updated controls. Is that enough to warrant a purchase?
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is easy to recommend for both fans of the original games and those whose introduction to Lara Croft came much later on. Its age-related annoyances are easy enough to forgive, and being able to quicksave at any time is a real lifesaver. It’s amazing what was done here in a year, and I’m sure further improvements are still to come. These are important games that deserve to be remembered and preserved, and these remasters are the best way to play them in the modern age.
NoobFeed editor Wasbir writes - Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is a retro-flavored rekindling that updates three ancient favorites to the present console generation with significant visual and play improvements. While The Last Revelation and Chronicles hold up, Angel of Darkness is a letdown but engrossing beginning. Fans of the series will appreciate the upgraded graphics, controls, and challenges of puzzles in this collection.
"...the overall experience feels stuck in the past."
Because these games are from over 20 years ago?
They dodged all those questions about if they were going to fix angel of darkness for a reason. Manly they had no intention to fix it up and integrate any of the fixes the community has put out there
