Playstation has high number of motor racing gamers particularly in Japan and Europe. not surprising to see Forza Horizon 5 is topping the preorder charts in both of those places.

Microsoft is really not doing physical anymore. Perhaps they can contract with Limited run on PS5 games. Would like to see a push for this. Also, Halo MCC needs a physical PS5 release. I think they would be surprised how much it would sale.

I don't know if FH5 is safe or is a permanent purchase but I know for a fact that the main titles are not safe from being shut down by MS on in a few years time. I had F5,6, and 7 and they are no longer playable because the servers are shut down. I was beyond frustrated that I had bought these games and no longer has access to them. I think if you have the physical copies they might still work but Im not sure. If FH5 is digital only, then I would advise caution jumping into this game because it might be taken off your account or made unplayable in the future.

This is not true at all. You can still play these games if you own them. Physical or digital. You may not be able to purchase digitally anymore but as long as you own the license, you can still play them. I have every single forza game. The mp may not work but single player and careers still work fine. Fh4 was delisted recently and is still playable offline completely. Stop fear mongering

I was talking about the digital versions in my library, which is gone permanently. I can no longer find them. Although I am using an Xbox Series X so Idk if that is a factor here but its not there anymore, like gone. F5, F6, even F7. I have digital versions of the game so I have no idea if its still playable on disk or not but for me its not.

If you picked them up via GamePass and never actually paid money for the core game license, then of course you can't see it in your MS or Xbox account anymore. What did you expect? I bought FH3, 4, and 5 on PC. The first two of those were removed from distribution but not from my Xbox account on PC because I paid to keep them. Obviously, in the ToS MS and Xbox can revoke access to these games and licenses, but this is part of the ToS for basically every publisher including Apple App Store, Epic Games, Google Play, Nintendo Network, PSN, and Steam, (listed in alphabetical order only including ToS I've read in the past 3 years).

Who cares its been years since the game was released. Not sure why anyone feels the need to stop a game coming to a diff platform after it was releaed years earlier. Enjoy the game let others enjoy it hurts no one and sales help that company since AAA titles will never make their money back being stuck on one platform. The only reason I prefer one platform to the other is the controller. Luckily PC does not have that issue.

I bought it on steam, and have played it via Game Pass (and still can), but PS is my fave and I wont miss a chance to play it again on my fave platform , hopefully with decent haptics and with any luck a pro mode that helps with geometry 'pop in'. Great game, and given there's barely a similar title on the platform, its no surprise its selling already..

Interesting, don't be surprised 10 years from now after MS made all that money back. They go back to exclusives. Many PS ppl could be suckered in after playing MS titles and wanting to continue playing the sequels. Just might sell some Xboxes. After all that CoD deal Sony signed was only for 10 years....
