2025 is expected to be a big year for games of all kinds, there’s no doubt about that. JRPG fans are probably excited about this spring’s lavish Clair Obscur, but there are a ton of indie games.
Ubisoft Brasil: "A source of pride for the French gaming community - we celebrate the success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
With over 1M copies sold in one week, the French game has been a global phenomenon since its launch, and we at Ubisoft Brazil wish the team and fans of the game success."
Perhaps Sandfall can hold a special weekend, where they can invite Ubisoft and teach them how to make great games.
Issue # 411 of Edge Magazine has been released, and it features reviews for games including Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and more.
They gave Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 a 10, nice! Usually Edge are pretty tough critics.
I don't know. Giving Lost Records: Bloom & Rage a 7 is insanely generous. I'd probably cut that score in half. lol
Clair Obscur finds levity in despair, using quiet humor that feels lived in, where laughter reflects survival more than it does comic relief.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 looks fantastic. I'm also looking forward to The Lunar remaster collection and Suikoden 1 & 2 remasters
Clair Obscur, Guns Undarkness, and Threads of Time for me. Though a lot of these games look cool. I still don't get how turn-based RPGs have been growing in popularity yet Square Enix refuses to go back to turn-based. Even a turn-based FF spin-off would be cool. I've been playing through World of Final Fantasy lately, and while it has its issues it still scratches that classic FF itch.
Clair Obscur is a French RPG. And many of the games are not JRPGs. Just sayin !
