Nvidia's RTX 5080 appears to be quite the downgrade over its predecessors, showing the smallest generational performance increase.
Xbox's handheld ambitions continue unabated, but the focus is shifting towards improving Windows 11 for third-party handhelds — for now. The Xbox Series X 'Melrose' successor is safe, with development continuing at full pace.
Funny to see the alt already damage controlling and having a meltdown with multiple accounts in the comments already.
Sad for MS if true, a dedicated handheld would go down a lot better than a rog ally 2 with an Xbox sticker on it I think.
Razer’s AI dev tools are coming to AWS, bringing smarter QA and gameplay support to the cloud. See how this could improve the games you play.
Bitmap Books' latest could be its best yet.
Glad I went with the 5090... £4300 though for a new build, glad it doubles up as a work PC because damn that's a pricy meatball.
Good thing Old Willy's got these laying around the general store.
I picked up a used AIB 4090 for less than £1200, they cost much more on CEX and eBay, built like a tank and looks like it will be a top tier card for at least the next couple of years.
5090 is so disappointing, 20-30% better at best for over 2x the price I paid? Yea no thanks lol
5080 kind of shat the bed but that was expected given its specs I guess.. I wonder if the same will happen next gen? I heard they'll be on a new node so we'll see.
But I mean.. even DF said not long back that even next gen consoles won't stack up to current high end cards.. dang, maybe we really are in diminishing returns, or if there are any uplifts they'll be super expensive like the 5090.
Still going to keep my 3080 since I mainly play competitive fps games and frame generation is entirely useless to me. What a disappointing generation the 50 series is. Reliance on AI is such an L.
While I understand that the rasterized performance leap of the card is underwhelming, you have to take into account that the mid to high end 40 series cards are discontinued. For persons on the 20 and 30 series looking to upgrade, the 50 series cards are a no brainer. Let us tone down on the negativity and allow those persons to be excited for an upgrade. If you are on the 4080 Super, then it means you recently got that card and shouldn't be looking to upgrade anyways. At least wait for the 5080 variants for an upgrade or wait for the 60 series.
