It Took a While, but Cyberpunk 2077 Has Finally Achieved a 'No Man's Sky Redemption'

Except No Man's Sky wasn't an absolute broken mess, and just outright unplayable on consoles. I don't understand the comparisons nor the justifying of what should have never been released in the state that it was at the time. I will never understand why people feel the need to continue defending this game from everything it did wrong. From a consumer standpoint I don't see how the continuing defense of this game benefits anyone other than the publisher. Also NMS didn't really redeem itself, it just added onto of what was already a solid base game.

Especially considering NMS team had 10-14 people, got flooded which cost them a lot of data lost, had no PR experience and Sony kept pushing the game which only made the expectations that much higher. They worked hard and have released all FREE updates and expensions

CDPR are worth billions, have past experience working on AAA games, lied to gamers that everything was fine and not showing any console gameplay and it took them years and a paid expension to make it right

There isn't even a comparison. I bought the game and played it I just don't understand the hype. It's a solid 7.5-8/10 game but CDPR fanboys make it sound like it's the best game ever made

I bought the ps4 disk version of 2077 just to be able to remember how broken this game was 10 years from now.

Except that it WAS playable at launch. I played NMS at launch on PS4. I have videos to prove it. I streamed from launch, and know others that did. I absolutely loved it, and platinumed it before pathfinder. Now, I will agree that the updates were needed, and have added to it. Heck, Worlds 2 looks like it'll be out any day now. (I think it'll be Worlds 2, he's emoting planets). Either way, they are a small team, who's only other game credits were Joe Danger. No Man's Sky was a beast all of it's own. Sean has learned from his mistakes.

I played Cyberpunk at launch as well. I beat the game. I didn't find it too buggy. Then again, I didn't go out looking for bugs, or really going nuts either. I'm not a Cyberpunk fanatic, so I played through the story, and that's it. I haven't gone back and played Phantom Liberty.

I get that it's a solid game but I still refuse to buy this and give them any money or even data for that matter because of the fact that they continued to gaslight everybody, telling them they weren't seeing the flaws that were obviously there as if we were blind and stupid, and they did this REPEATEDLY for months

We're just normalized this practice of "broken games with x amount of potential got redeemed a few years later"
My money is on the product that works as intended on release day, if it failed to do so then its automatically in my deep discount buy list months or years down the line or I simply forgotten about it. I don't have time playing and waiting for redemption arc to happened with these games anymore.

I tried it some month ago and I felt like they have fixed the shell of the game but clearly not the overall core of the game. Could easily feel that this was once a broken mess. Absolutely not impressed

It hasn't. No man's sky has improved the game in ways that Cyberpunk barely scratches in terms of gameplay, graphics and content. They continue to still release massive free content updates

Cyberpunk just got the game to be at a passible level with a paid for dlc and some sprinkled in content. These two are not the same.

Delivering what was promised before launch is not redemption. I still don't see the game delivering anything other than what they promised and then they even charge for Phantom Liberty. That alone mutes any comparison with NMS.

I'm not supporting releasing broken games like CP2077. NMS was not broken, just too empty. But for what it's worth, NMS has had many expansions and they are all FREE. Sorry but to compare a sorry a*s non-apologetic cover up like CP2077 to NMS is an insult to the later.

Who in their right mind would be surprised the covid inoculation received FULL FDA approval in 2021 despite the fact the product manufacturer literally stated the safety tests would not even complete for about two more years. To anybody who might tell me "your loss" I will simply respond by saying I am an optimist who generally loves life irrespective of the insurmountable tribulations I've been through already and I typically find myself trying to mitigate overjoy. In other words, I already got laid and played with a tree twig once, (homage to a George Carlin monologue), so I'm good thanks and don't really feel any alleged loss.
