South of Midnight, Compulsion Games' third-person action-adventure game set in the American Deep South, will be released April 8, 2025, and early access beginning April 3.
NoobFeed editor Arysha writes - In the end, South of Midnight is a decent game with a rich Southern environment, distinct folklore, and a compelling Hazel tale. Playing with the platforming elements is fun, exploring the world is exciting, and discovering legendary creatures of the world.
I would be very curious to know then numbers on this game, probably very few people played it.
South of Midnight has its issues, but also enough charm to make it a journey worth taking.

I just finished South of Midnight. I think it’s a solid AA, even though the combat could have been a bit deeper. I love a cross-over between South of Midnight and Psychonauts.
Putting aside the game for a moment, anyone else find it wild we're considering an 8/10 to be a 'flawed' game? lol
The writing is so good at certain parts and than it will just turn around and drop the ball so hard. None of her comments towards the notes she reads are interesting and half the time they don't actually fit with the context of what was written. I am on Chapter 11 and finding it very hard to push myself to finish it at this point. Also I understand what they are going for but the way they present the mistreatment of folks is about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. Could have been done a bit better.
oh i didnt like the ingame characters stutter movement at all.
i hope this is not something they're gonna stick with. but given the very ehm, unfortunately release date, we'll see.
Definitely looking forward to this game.
My xbox is ready.
The lore and story and combat are interesting, even though I'm not too impressed with the graphics. It has a little resemblance to Kena, but Kena's graphics are a little better than this one. But overall, I liked it.
