In a thread on social media, Borderlands 4 narrative director Sam Winkler revealed that the game will cut down heavily on the last game’s “overabundance of toilet humor”.
Thomas Mahler warned that unfair review bombing could harm the studio’s future but later clarified it's not in immediate danger of closing.
I really, really hope that this amazing studio will eventually give us one last Ori game, it can be a prequel. Will of the Wisps is one of my favourite games of all time but as for their new game ehhhh.. let’s just say i have zero interest in it but they seem very passionate about it so i hope this review bombing doesn’t affect the studio’s future.
This is a great game, i dont think its fully released yet, but it has a heap of content if you want to get stuck in
I don’t get the criticism at all. From the visuals to the story, music, voice acting, and gameplay, it’s incredible on every level. Sure, some parts aren’t perfectly balanced yet and there are a few glitches, but the game isn’t even fully released. I’ve put around 80 hours into The Breach update already (300 or so in total), and I still can’t get enough.
New staff at Skewed and Reviewed caught the Borderlands 4 panel at PAX East and have shared the video.
Based on what has been revealed so far, Borderlands 4 may be largely leaving behind its dystopian western feel for something more akin to Mass Effect.
Good to know even the Borderlands writing team has some sort of standards.
Good. That nonsense isn't funny, and the scammed doesn't deserve to be mentioned
Skibidi Toilet is exactly what you'd expect from the gaming community, it's a good use of a well known IP and actually humorous. The issue is the overuse of memes and Internet culture. You gotta be clever with your references.
They don't need them. Boarderlands is on its own level of cell-dwelling cringedom.
"Borderlands 4 writer" ... Ick. Don't go flexing that around.
While not a huge fan of toilet humor, I do enjoy seeing subtle meme references/easter eggs in it. And let's face it, nobody plays Bordelands because it's classy, it's supposed to have vulgar comedy.
