There is a relatively minuscule number of Tales of games to play on modern platforms compared to what the entirety of the series comprises, which has caused fans to grow increasingly frustrated.
And for Western fans, this conflict is twofold. Firstly, it’s worth emphasizing that there are several Tales of games the West has never received in any official capacity, even mainline entries. Then, numerous localized titles are stuck on older hardware, making them inaccessible to contemporary audiences.
I remember playing a fan translation for Tales of Phantasia. The SNES had so many great RPG's. When I wasn't playing FF 6, Chrono Trigger or Seiken Densetsu 3 another fan translated game I was playing Tales of Phantasia.
Games being stuck on older hardware is a part of gaming. I'd like alot of old games to make a return since most of the good ones are rare , hard to find , pretty expensive especially in the jrpg category. I'd love a remaster on all those old jrpgs from snes ps1 Era

Graces f was better than both Xillia entries. Abyss is probably the best game in the series. It had the perfect mix of story and gameplay.
nah, Xillia/2 is pinnacle of great combat but Xillia 2 story sucked. Graces F is also awesome. Abyss was my first Tales of games, so it has special place in my heart.
I think if Symphonia was released today instead of back then, it would be even greater than Vesperia. It was still considered a poor man's Final Fantasy series then, and some still feel that way about it. The only thing that pushed me to finish Vesperia were the quirky but likable characters. The story and fighting were pretty mediocre IMO though.
For me its Abyss, Vesperia, Destiny, Xillia, Hearts f, Eternia. Yes Symphonia is also great but its get way too much attention. Also I'm betting Arise unseats one of my top 6 by the time I'm done. Its a fantastic game
while I agree because Eternal Sonata was a wonderful game and story the fact is it's a Tales like game, not a Tales of game.

I’m currently playing tales of Destiny directors cut and vesperia. I gave up on tales of berseria after 40 hours. And I really want tales of arise.
I played Abyss, symphonia, legendia and tales of hearts R. Aside from symphonia (I beat it) I am pretty much at the end of all of these but just lost the spark to finish them.
The Tales series may not have the most powerful villains, but their unique ideas and human perspectives make them by far the genre's most interesting.
All the entries of the Tales Games are good in their own way but I would swap Berseria and Symphonia around. I like Berseria but I prefer Xillia 2 then Berseria. Be nice if Namco brings Xillia to PS5, along with the older Tales titles, and the Xenosaga trilogy.
